We need the cooler heads of the LA Sheriff to step in and de-escalate

Good for you standing up against someone running for office to try and change things for the better. You are a profile in courage sir

Oh no. They were SHOUTING at ICE?! Are the officers ok? Are their tactical feelings hurt?

This is the most underwhelming reveal of all time

I have several bikes. Tons of bike clothing, special drinks to help me stay hydrated and fueled. And I suck. So bad. But I love it

I voted for the Democrat in every election for every national race my entire life - and here’s how I directly elected Trump by voting for Bernie in two primaries that were effectively over: a memoir

Incredibly good

I didn’t say poverty causes anti-trans hate. I’m saying that poverty caused this crime - three 8-12 year olds running around with a cup of battery acid, with no parenting or positive environments to counter bigotry. This is my city so I am viewing it differently than someone from outside would

I didn’t say poverty causes hatred - I’m just saying that we have kids running around parts of Philly who don’t value other people and they have been failed by society.

I grew up thinking that no one ever laid a finger on Wayne Gretzky, but he sounds like a man who’s had several thousand concussions

Oh snap

People need to come to grips with what our society has created. These kids were essentially unparented; our society has incarcerated and immiserated their parents and their grandparents so rich people don’t have to pay more taxes. This is what extreme generational poverty as policy has wrought

I’m sure that there is a healthy dose of homophobia in the air there. But I was more responding to the messages that made it seem like these are a bunch of evangelical Christian kids running around.

Slave owner: wow these slaves don’t seem very happy to see me

I have it on good authority that Brace Belden is in the situation room leading exactly this as we speak
comment in response to post
This happened in west Philly, around the 52nd street L stop. These kids have no “parents” in a traditional sense. They are basically feral. Society has failed them, their parents have been incarcerated or immiserated. These are the kids who will be shooting each other in a few years over IG posts

No - there is an absence of adults behind the attack.

I am of the belief that Trump doesn’t really like actual sex, he just likes looking like he enjoys it, so Epstein didn’t really get much on him.
comment in response to post
Republicans think Trump was a cool party guy who happened to meet Epstein, but that the Epstein files will detail spirit cooking and Hillary eating a baby. They are deeply delusional. And we are probably as deluded on the other side about Epstein and what he had on Trump.

What a brave stance - going after a child educator and entertainer who advocates for children being wiped out by an apartheid regime. Fix your heart

In all seriousness I agree with you that feeding people is more important, I just don’t think that dollar stores will be a partner to do that in any way.

I’m sorry I didn’t solve the problem of food deserts with my skeet
comment in response to post
Maybe the signs said “only deport dangerous criminals” on the other side.
comment in response to post
Deleted a not very generous reply. Yes I’m aware of food deserts and dollar stores exacerbate them

Dollar General and all dollar atores are a blight on any community- I’d say burn them down but that creates air pollution

Agreed. we have to keep our criticism focused on where it belongs; Israel, the USG entities that enable it (a bipartisan effort) and anyone who vocally supports it. Going after Jews en masse is wrong and antisemitic
