Tom Mouat is working on the UK expansion for Littoral Commander and is looking at adding in a sub-game where you can commission/acquire new tech (JCC cards) that can be used in the game. Something like that. Was that it?

The pies are nice it's true! I also like mushy peas, esp with fish and chips

You are doing more for British tourism than Charles and Camilla combined!

What I feel the new edition offers is more paths to victory; a greater capacity for players to make a clever killer move. The Heroes present another layer of opportunity and dilemma. I can't imagine playing the old edition now. We played Inis the same day, it was enjoyable, but more predictable.

Wix has just increased by internet hosting costs by about 25% because they are now offering me an embedded AI helper. Don't want it, can't opt out of it 😞

I tried LHY but too much work and didn't like the assault rules. I'm a fussy bastard! Can't say for LnL but CC (not realistic) and ASL (not fairly streamlined) don't meet my holy trinity.

I'm constantly on the lookout for a tactical wargame that's fairly streamlined, realistic, and cinematic. Tough ask. But hopefully one of these will do the job. Also, Vietnam and Brits Vs Italians. Hard to resist.

Two winners of the successors were Ptolemy and Lysimachus. The former betrayed Perdiccas then kept his head down. The latter sat out the initial wars. Point is, you need to play that way. It's not a combat game. It's a game of timing. Combat is deadly. That's how it was. Use it to your advantage!

Similar subject I'm currently reading Lancelot by Giles Kristian. It's excellent.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I probably wasn't clear enough about the ask - the "illustrated examples" point was really using existing art assets (counters and maps) to create examples of play. I don't need any art, just someone who can do basic layout DTP for the rulebook. Thanks

Informative as ever Brant! One very minor point: PunchedCON is in Coventry, not London.

Yep, and I'm demoing/ playtesting the big scenario on the Saturday. The plan is to have two overall commanders, and then two Battlegroup commanders per side, one for each mini theatre (two joined maps, each it's own theatre). Wanna get involved?
