No legacy media journalists ever pushes back on the GOP lies, like ever, and Trump controls who gets to ask questions. What about that situation would ever lead any reasonably intelligent person to believe that a question of that sort would have ever been posed?

I have had jobs where I went into people’s homes. It is absolutely disgusting what people will say to a white woman with a southern accent in private because they assume since I am in possession of said accent I am also racist.

Hospitals being reimbursed for the care they provide is crucial to the survival of our healthcare system.
Cuts to Medicaid and Medicare are going to harm our healthcare system that will ripple through and harm all of us.

And while it is true that some undocumented people may receive some support through Medicaid it is LIMITED to EMERGENCY payments for care received. This provision exists so HOSPITALS can be reimbursed for the care they are OBLIGATED to provide. This is a SMALL number.

There is also an EXTREMELY lengthy and detailed application process for people who receive Medicaid as their primary insurance, which includes a lengthy report completed by an MD.

By that same token, what is anyone still doing on any Meta platform? They are actively suppressing pro-democracy and anti-Trump content and allowing disinformation to flourish. 2 sides, same coin.

Thank you for talking about this. These cuts to Medicaid and Medicare are going to be painful for our healthcare system. Especially small rural hospitals that are the lifeline to communities like the one I grew up in.

I wrote to my senators last week and asked them what they were going to do to protect Floridians with the damage to NOAA and FEMA DOGE has done. I feel like a sitting duck.

Nope. They are just as ignorant as they seem.

There are still protests going on this weekend. And another called for June 6th as well.

And sadly a majority of American Catholics will chuckle and just keep right on loving and supporting Trump because they value his words more than Christ’s… or even the recently deceased actual Pope’s.

He doesn’t want to make America great again… he wants to make the Holy Roman Empire great again apparently.
To quote the Bible, “Jesus wept.”

This is exciting! I hope you plan to come to Orlando for a town hall or something. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say! Let’s get Florida back!

This is outrageous! And terrifying for those of us who have children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Same here! It WAS hot and I was definitely NOT being paid and I definitely had other things that needed my attention at home, but not a single thing more important to do.

Yeah, same here. Vouchers for all who want them starting in 2024. They just keep putting nails in the coffin and beating the dead horse… 😕. It’s nuts.

No, not an individual teacher or even a group of educators, but state level systemic issues. Since Jeb Bush’s era, we’ve been in a downward spiral. The school grading system that fundamentally changed the way schools were funded was the final nail in the coffin for struggling rural districts.

I grew up in rural NoFlo, but have lived the Orlando area for over 20 years. The education system has failed rural Floridians for generations and it shows in the voting. Blue tarps on their roofs and Trump signs in their yards, speaks volumes.

Heather, you are a national treasure! Thank you for everything you do every day to teach “we, the people.” Great video this week!

Both reduced the margin by at least half!!! I didn’t think that was possible in either of those districts that are largely made up of rural areas. I drove through Putnam Co a month after the election and the flags and signs were still everywhere.

Typically, it is very difficult to find specialists that take Medicaid.
I work in healthcare and I have an adult daughter who is profoundly physically and intellectually disabled. There is only one managed Medicaid plan that most doctors here in central Florida accept. Otherwise, you’re screwed.
