Rumour is that he has accepted an assistant coaching job in the NHL. Lightening or Islanders were teams mentioned. Hoping he stays but he likely is highly sought after. Habs need another coach on the bench. They should promote him.

He has “Markstromitis” when playing the Oilers.

Looks like it is over for the Stars.

Mike Elias is stunned as well. Just bad luck. Our offence should be able to out score our bad pitching and defence with his masterclass roster construction.

In fairness , both teams have lethal PP. Bad penalties by the Oilers. Had control of the game.

Uncle Buck is a classic as well

Reinbacher, Beck, Xhekaj, Kapanen

Protecting the house. Oilers playing the game fast. Stars not able to match the speed.

Ron MacLean is way past his expiry date. Only thing that is comparable is that they had a 4 in their jersey number.

Likely will need both goalies for a long playoff run. Primeau had a strong season after being sent to Laval. Part of the reason they finished 1st overall despite injuries. Vincent has the benefit of having 2 solid goalies. Keep both sharp. Start the veteran game 1.

I can see it with the state of their starting pitching and likely being sellers at the trade deadline. Not a total rebuild but they will need to make a number of changes to the roster. Just don’t trust Elias to lead this.

Followed by panic move to sign Gibson.

Not sure why fans might be down on Owen Beck. He has had a fantastic rookie season with the Rocket. Will be a solid NHL player.
comment in response to post
Nor did I. I didn’t like the pitching staff going into the season. Lacked depth before the injuries.

He has been on a view short lists for other vacant GM positions. Deserves a shot.

Understatement of the year.

Orioles Tragic

And Jim only needed 1 run to win when he was on his game

The. We will draft another position player. Because according to Mike Elias. A good line-up can out score mediocre pitching. Sorry Mike. That was never the Orioles Way.

Can’t beat anybody right now.

We are your team. Can’t pitch. Can’t hit. Can’t field. Can’t run. We cure other team’s slumps.

Dean deserves better.

Of course Henderson gets a hit and Rivera gets thrown out at home plate on a close play. O’s woes with RISP continue.

Not able to string together enough quality AB.
comment in response to post
Hyde won’t last if this season ends with the O’s out of contention. Elias should be gone as well but will likely get another chance. Bringing the arms Mike. Bring in a veteran hitting coach with the new manager.

lol. That is what he wants you to believe. Buys him time to 2027. Maybe the fans should wait until then to buy tickets.

Mistake to a hot hitter and he does not miss. Morton fails to give his team a chance again.

No Oriole magic this year

That will boost it back up. Glad everything is okay.

Fortunately their late game antics did not result in much if any injuries. There will be a few Cleveland players that likely will pay for this the first time they meet next season.

Even with coming back from a knee injury, he looks too good for the AHL

Only goal he gave up was clearly offside.

Mailloux is improving but still has a ways to go. Reinbacher looks NHL ready. Going to make a push next camp.

Still waiting for that deal that he had in place but could not tell anyone specifics about. Required approval of a prime minister and parliament. Who also must be sworn to secrecy. How long before solid republicans join Mike Pence and Liz Cheney in leaving the Trump ship. Built on lies.

Buffalo Sabres are cornering the market on small skilled players.

Maybe they went there and back.

Maybe move the fences back while we are in a moving mood.

And his explanation for the poor start is “bad luck and injuries”. So stick with the roster and roll the dice. Not feeling as confident as you Mike. Holes are even more apparent. Offence(if it comes) cannot out score mediocre to bad pitching.
comment in response to post
Great. Can you fast track this?
comment in response to post
Measure of your player development program is success at the MLB level. Not great results during the Elias era. Are they rushing their prospects to the big leagues?
comment in response to post
Results oriented business. Elias has had enough time. Flawed approach to the rebuild. Blind spot undervaluing pitching development.
