Oh, my wife @jlrigby.bsky.social has a wonderful story about going a Hank Williams Jr. concert. It involves racism, drunk rednecks, and a whole lot of pee.

Both me and my wife played it for over a year when it came out, but neither of us have touched it since early 2022. My wife even bought a custom amiibo to get Kiki cause she reminded her our own cats

I swear I've only heard one pop song released this year on the radio or in public (Abracadabra). Really noticeable compared to how much there was last year.

There are plenty of other great authors and creators at Polygon that I didn't mention, but all of them were incredible and deserve to be hired to continue their amazing work elsewhere, at a place where they will be treated better than Vox Media treated them.

Lastly, the video team still put out plenty of high-quality video essays, with fun live streams as well. I watched @doomquasar.bsky.social, Patrick Gill, and @claytonashley.bsky.social for years now, and hope they continue to make great videos elsewhere.

@pokachee.bsky.social writes a lot of good articles, but I also see her putting out an insane amount of the game guides each week. I will certainly use them in the future when I inevitably get stuck.

@thesaintoftous.bsky.social was another entertainment author who seemed to write about anything and everything, from film, and anime to games, while keeping the high-quality writing I enjoy from him. I especially look forward to the horror-based articles, which always had a good perspective.

@nicolecarpenter.bsky.social does great reporting on gaming news, keeping us informed on all the major layoffs, lawsuits, and everything else that goes on behind the scenes at those companies. Also her enjoyed her contributions on all the lists Polygons puts out.

@petrana.bsky.social's entertainment articles are always so much fun to read. She's often how I found out when shows I like are coming back, writes great reviews, and makes slightly unhinged lists like her recent Matt Murdock chemistry list where she put herself as an honorable mention.
