I nearly drowned as a kid b/c I was trying to walk on the bottom of the pool. I walked into the deep end. Then I realized I couldn’t breathe. Next thing I know I’m being hauled out by my mom’s best friend. Nobody had heard me, she just happened to look down and see me in the deep end.

Will we be required to have this “wearable” to buy and sell? 🫠#revelations #evangelical #deconstruct #leftbehind

This amuses me more than it ought to.

I am grateful today for electricians, especially the electrician who came this afternoon and fixed a wire that burned up when the power surged today.

Last wk I was navigating an extremely crowded airport trying to pick up my husband. The kids were in the car with me. A driver cut me off and in a moment of peak frustration “Holy nutnertz” came out of my mouth because I was trying to not say other more grownup words b/c the 4 y/o is a parrot. 1/2

We picked a bad week to rewatch the Hunger Games movies. #tiredeldermillenial

“thank you God…. We love you God.” Wow. It was like at the last minute he was like “well I gotta work God in there somewhere” and then God bless the Middle East. Well yikes.

Last night we took our kids downtown for a solstice walk. There’s a fountain that kids can play in and last night there was live music. I sat and watched my kids play with other kids. Kids that looked like them and kids that didn’t. Kids that spoke English and kids who communicated through 1/2

Juneteenth calls us to understand the realities of our past, celebrate the resilience and achievements of Black Americans, and align the course of our country toward its founding creed of liberty and justice for all. Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth!

Dear @Kroger, I cannot tell you how much I DON'T want to see sports betting stuff when I'm grocery shopping. Why is this even a thing? This is the weirdest partnership I've seen in a while.

More than 50 years after the start of the "War on Drugs," drug offenses still account for the incarceration of over 360,000 people, and drug convictions remain a defining feature of the federal prison system.

“Restored to power after an interregnum in which all American institutions failed to hold him accountable for his crimes and abuses, Trump has now set about a second term in which he is pursuing vengeance against his perceived enemies.” God bless The Guardian.

I looked up Tom from MySpace to see what he was up to. Came across this weird AI caption. Apparently Tom is doing fine, though.

This is lovely!

I have never loved a gif more.

The country may be falling apart but my bee balm is full of buzzing bees and that makes me happy. #beesky #beebalm

It is absolutely a place to post song lyrics with no context and pithy thoughts (that 15 years later you will lose sleep cringing over).

Nope. Do not like this. If you want to avoid anything that makes America look bad, you’re going to need a Time Machine. This smacks of the “you can’t tell the truth about what that person did to you because it will tarnish their legacy” bs that survivors of abuse hear. 1/2
