Oh every summer I remember that quote "Ladies bathed before noon, after their three o'clock naps, and by nightfall were like soft teacakes with frostings of sweat and sweet talcum."

Geez. They probably complain about feral kittens too, and TNR programs can really help with that.

I don’t even need a blanket. Just a very small pillow. I’m so tired of this person being “in charge”

Yes! I understand myself better and now when I see my kids struggling with something like task paralysis or rejection sensitivity, I can actually help, not just say “oh just do it” or “get over it”.

She’s one impressive woman!

I remember the first time I watched it as an adult and realized what it was actually about. 😳

In Texas, all adults are mandated reporters. It changed a while back, but they didn’t really tell anyone it had expanded from teachers, therapists, caregivers and lawyers.

It’s super infantilizing especially for a culture that is so bound up in honor and pride.

Now the kids can’t stop saying it. On the plus side it made us all laugh and defused the tension I felt about airport traffic. The downside is now they are trying to top it with ridiculous things. #parentingwin #parentlife

Watching my children watch my husband play a Zelda game on the Switch. Suddenly felt like it was the early 2000s again.

May God go with you as you embark on the holy mission of sharing Jesus with wiggly silly image bearers. May the snacks and patience never run dry 😂

The universal language of splashing and tag. The parents sat at tables around the square, watching our kids. Yes. Things are not going well. But last night I had hope. Ppl from many different countries and cultures enjoyed a night together in defiance of the fear we are told to have of “others.” 2/2

Proud to claim her as a Fort Worth resident. Although goodness knows we don’t deserve her.

Love this! I still read in bed before going to sleep (although I have always loved reading).

What? When I was in law school one of my friends on the Innocence Project helped get a man released who had been wrongfully imprisoned for 30 years. We gain nothing by imprisoning the wrong people. *facepalm*

So do I but I’m just AuDHD and use my “superpower” for saying “hey…guys…y’all remember why we decided to declare our independence…” not predicting what apps will do next 😂

My brain would melt out of my ears. However I essentially do the same thing with books 😂

It was really interesting to watch Brooklyn 99 try to deal with this in the aftermath of 2020

True. I get more protein focused content pushed on my feed than anything related to sexual orientation or gender identity.

Honestly people are ridiculous.

Oh, I have to bite my tongue. We have a pair of mountain lions at our zoo. They're brothers named Leonard and Sheldon, but I digress. It is clearly stated that they are mountain lions. The amount of time I've heard adults say "Oh look at the jaguars..." or "these must be mommy lions"...I despair.

I just don’t understand the love for AI. I really don’t understand giving AI your original thoughts either. No thanks.

Today of all days would have been a fun day to wear full bee keeper regalia or something. Lots of “bees recognize no king” possibilities there.

Vincent and the Doctor. You’re a way off from that but gracious. I cry every time.

Every time I take a break from the news, it's 10x worse when I come back so I get it.

That would be a really interesting cake. Texturally I don’t know how it would work but it’s intriguing to contemplate.
