Its complicated

Do / would you ever do personal consultations? Like next time I’m in SF, meet and give you a budget to outfit me?

My condolences to the thousands of people who are about to die because the Republicans now have a 4 vote margin for their bill gutting Medicaid. This job matters. Connolly among others treating congress like their own publicly funded nursing home is unconscionable
comment in response to post
Its the best nursing home on the planet. Aides do all the work, interns care for your every need, gold plated health care for free, and they pay you

Tegna (nee Sinclair) owns my local NBC affiliate in a swing-ish state (Maine). Its very insidious, much less than the 1-in-10 stories proposed by the OP, definitely ramps up around the election, but is hidden in usually innocuous regular segments, reflected in the ads shown, etc. Diabolical

Dr. Peter Hotez?
comment in response to post
This is the exact strategy that Sinclair / Tegna has executed on TV for the right

Given the reality of online ad rates, the print editions are the only thing keeping most of these papers alive. The special editions in particular, as they command premium prices, and are cheap to produce. (Too cheap in this case)

Check out slide 22 static1.squarespace.com/static/5cc22... This is last year’s, but the salespeople would have been given this in January as advertisers are planning their annual campaigns.
comment in response to post
The way this work is the sales department sold special ad campaigns around the summer supplement editorial. Possibly as part of a full year deal months ago. So something had to be printed

The chatbots aren't hallucinating when they "get things wrong," WE are hallucinating when they "get things right" People think LLMs are "smart" for the same reason they think the moon has a face.

Lolol. If my late 40s man feet rate an entry, we’ve drifted further from the light than I ever imagined

Don’t starve. It’s the rare piece of art that’s hyped and doesn’t disappoint

Like this dude can throw shade. He caught babies being thrown out of a burning building! Come back when you got something like that youtu.be/1dz7sFwpG6o

More conflicted - desperate and angry and sad

Completely irrelevant, but the Ataris’ cover, aside from it’s a “Black Flag sticker” on the Cadillac, I think also imbues the lyrics with a more appropriate energy (Much like the man in black covering NIN) youtu.be/Qt6Lkgs0kiU

That is 100% software. You could argue OCI is a hardware play, but he got his billions on software license fees

What hardware is he involved in?

He’ll be a great cabinet member. Not Pete-quality, but good talking to people. HHS? Education? Labor? But not veep, and no way top of the ticket

But why male models?

As a Bostonian (Holy Name) 2 years younger than you, I feel the significance of “throwing threes” (pinky, ring, middle downward) died with Pierce. Ironic given Mazzulla-ball’s focus and the incessant “XX for threeeee” PA announcement

Wildly different than Kaepernick. Shedeur comes with Deion looming as a coach-in-the-wings. Destabilizing to the whole org
comment in response to post
If you draft Shedeur, your coach is on the hot seat. Either win now or Deion is gonna be the coach in < 3 years
comment in response to post
Been saying for a while, Shadeur and Deion are inevitably a package deal. Unless you want him as your coach, you gotta pass
comment in response to post
Can he go back to Colorado?
comment in response to post
Sorry, that’s on me. I said to my wife at halftime “remember when the C’s always came out flat for the 3rd? Glad that’s over”. Hand up
comment in response to post
The coach that picks him is signing their own death warrant. Deion’ll be coaching that team within 3 years

If they add 4 locals in 100 markets to that it gets a lot tougher. More like 2 billion unique combos
comment in response to post
If they don’t include locals (which will be an issue during NFL season) ~100 channels in every combination of 2, 3, and 4 multiviews is only just over 4 million unique streams. Tiny compared to what YouTube proper does
