Hillbilly DeLuxe. Swimmin' pools. Movie stars. Pro-democracy when it was still cool (back then, even Republicans loved democracy). No DMs before we've had at least some interaction, thanks in advance.

ICE now has a 3,000 deportations a day quota. Like that traffic cop with a quota: Arresting ten people for going 30 mph in a 25 mph zone is TEN TIMES better than arresting one person for going 75 mph in that same 25 mph zone.

If anyone ever made the perfect Leopards Eating Peoples' Faces Party comment, Ms. Garcia has done so with that gem.

Hegseth will do whatever Trump tells him to do. Shoot into a crowd of American protesters exercising their First Amendment rights? Hegseth will give the order. We are truly in unchartered territory as of today.

"Why do you keep re-reading the front page of that newspaper?"
"I'm looking for the obituaries."
"But the obituaries are usually in the middle of the paper."
"Not the one I'm looking for."

The writers and producers listened to the actors. The actors knew the characters that they portrayed. Jamie Farr said he refused to do a scene where Klinger fell asleep on guard duty. He said yes, Klinger cross dressed to try to get out of the Army, but he was also a good soldier. It was taken out.

Charles Dickens dreamt up the heartless Ebenezer Scrooge, who despised the poor: “If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.” Not to be out-Scrooged, Sen. Joni Ernst has now openly expressed HER true feelings about the less fortunate.

And if the courts or Congress (I know, I know) put a stop to the tariffs, these corporations will drop their prices back down to pre-tariff levels. Right? Nah. We're stuck with them.

Memo TO: Stephen A. Smith
It's not a sporting event. It's life and death. Literally. It's not a pennant race or the NFL playoffs. Gawd. Gaining?

How would you like to spend four years of intense physical and intellectual training at America's most prestigious military academy, only to have to sit and listen to this word vomit at your graduation? Gawd.

100%. America made that mistake after the Civil War. We let them off the hook. 5,000 Confederate officers fled to Brazil, certain they'd be hanged. Nobody was hanged. We let them create and keep their Lost Cause myth (a 'lie'). Statues of traitors were erected. Not again. But we need the power.

Agreed. But the genie is out of the bottle and there may be no way to get it back in. The Dems could get back the White House and both houses of Congress in 2028. But even if they do the GOP will still follow the McConnell Mantra that he started with Obama: Keep them from accomplishing anything.
