"Lots of people commenting on how articulate people were back then. This is not an illusion. Once upon a time, unintelligent people were rarely heard from. But then the internet came along and gave them a voice. A very LOUD voice. So loud, that it drowns out everything."

Whatever he is taking, I'd like some!

Probably a bit of both...and a combination of people being caught up in either the cult of Elon or the cult of Trump. At any rate, at least it is entertaining!

I guess so? Or maybe he's just enjoying the show!

" The Trump brand is toxic (except, apparently, in the United States)" Unfortunately, this is a result of our generally poor education system in this country. It is going to take an insurmountable amount of work to fix it.......

You're doing awesome Kat! it's refreshing to see someone who has a platform that is based on things that will actually help ordinary people..like myself! Only thing that I would say is keep doing more interviews with independent media creators; The David Pakman show might be another good place to go.

You did an awesome job standing up to Nazi Barbie! What an annoying smug look she had on her face the whole time....probably because she knew what she was defending was bullshit.

I guess this is the intended effect?

I would like Elon to state exactly how his actions last week are going to benefit the ordinary people he claims to be helping......

That's nuts. I teach a local community college myself here in Mass; luckily, teaching math I have not had to deal with anything like this yet. But what is worrying is what will happen to us if the Department of Education is cut......

This is, unfortunately, what happens with the health insurance industry spends millions of dollars a year to effectively bribe our elected officials-i.e., lobbying. Ordinary Americans with modest means cannot compete.......

Yes, I'm sure the $5 or so a gallon and $12 a dozen for eggs will be spectacular!!! And also, why does he always write everything in caps? It's almost like he's a narcissistic sociopath.... Is America great again yet?

I think on Monday the only thing we will see are gasoline and oil prices start their march upwards in price.

I work at a local community college here in Western Mass....and we are not sure what is happening with some of our funding. Not fun at all.......

I am definitely with you! In this society, we are waaayyy to quick to go "OOhhhhh, new technological shiny thing!"....and then throw out the older tech that still works well, and thus contribute to our ever growing mountains of e-waste. Stupid, in my opinion.

From the literature that I have with these machines, it appears that they were training/hobbyist machines. I have a bunch of documentation that came with these machine that I need to go through first before I do anything with it........

I have not yet been brave enough to plug in the home-made power supply to see what it does (as it will probably release magic smoke)! The first order of business before I do that will be to test and reform the giant electrolytic capacitors.

This is a picture of my 1978 Sym-1 computer, an early computer that was based on the 6502 cpu. The first picture is a Sym-1 with a bunch of peripherals and a beefy looking home-made power supply! I actually acquired two of these; the one you see here, and another one in its original box.

Congrats David! Although I'm really hoping that I can buy it locally at some place like Broadside books.

At this point, I'm glad that I never bothered with a Twitter account! Happy to be here though.
