LOVED this stuff as a kid. It was a special treat if it came home from the grocery store. Not sure I’d say the same now, but 8 yr old me couldn’t get enough.

Thanks for doing this all season Brian. It’s been great to follow your synopsis once again. You’re a voice of reason amongst the sensationalists. I trust Hughes fully, and can’t wait to see what is next for this team. It’s not our time right now … but it’s coming and it’s going to be awesome.

Not that time at all! They’re playing their hearts out with little to no playoff experience. Being down sucks, but really each loss was a 1 goal game. You can’t ask for anything more.

Pretty sure that’s Plekanec. Sans turtleneck though.

Great article Brian. You hit on all the points. Officiating has been abysmal to non-existent, but it’s showing the young guys what it’s going to take to win. It’s also showing the management team what is missing in the cupboard. Frustrating for sure, but 7 months ago I’d gladly accept down 0-2.

I hope that’s the case for the next game, nevermind next season.

Aren’t they all?

Admittedly, it was a little easier having patience when one has complete trust in the management.

There is absolutely no scenario where I wish for Gary Galley. If that change ever happens, I’ll be one happy guy.

Simply put, NO ONE deserves to get that goal more than him.

Here’s hoping it happens. Improbable, but anything is possible. My heart sure wants to believe it’s going to happen, but my head says to just be happy with a strong push towards the playoff picture. But you can definitely tell the return to relevancy is coming.

As frustrating it is to lose last night, if us fans were told they’d be 3-2 after 5 games on the never ending road trip we would all happily take it. No one would have guessed the 3 wins correctly though!

Often when you take that many penalties there are a few questionable calls. Tonight they deserved every one of those penalties. Frustrating that anytime they seemed to gain momentum, they just shot themselves in the foot.

Beautiful to see. This fanbase needs a sniper to rally around. It’s been FAR too long.
