I think the last week or so might be the first time that @fullfact.org has fact checked more claims about AI generated content than we have of real media simply being used out of context. As someone who has been doing this stuff for years *this feels significant*

A conference about 'open' technologies and their impact in Rio de Janeiro you say 🤔

Still time to submit a proposal to the OFA Symposium 2025 by EOD on 18 June! We'll be curating a great lineup of presentations on #OpenSource and #OpenTechnology impact #research. And travel support is available for speakers! Submit now or regret later ✨ symposium.openforumeurope.org

Decided to go analog on Friday for pitching after using an online retro tool for last few events…got some fun stickers for voting and some cheap markers as too many Sharpies went 💨 in the past 😆

There's still time to grab your #CampDigital ticket before prices go up - our sale wraps this Friday (20th)! As ever, if you're a team of 5+ and you're interested in coming along, ping me a message for our group discount. So excited to see everyone in just over a couple of weeks! Who's in? 👀

I recently paid for the NYT games - I like the Mini Crossword and Spelling Bee but am dreadful at them. This morning though I almost managed to finish the 'real' crossword - 'only' cheated on 3 words 😆 I might retire from them all off the back of that 😂

Chatting to Steven Moffat (then showrunner of Doctor Who) about food trucks on a picnic table at SXSW in Austin - thinking he was someone I'd met earlier at the conference who worked in tech in the UK.

#CampDigital is 3 weeks today! mailchi.mp/wearesigma/c... Still tickets available to see some great speakers and me have a very public panic attack on stage.

Really sad news about Brian Wilson - I've always loved The Beach Boys (which given the rest of my taste has always been a bit of a wild card). www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdrS...

New sticker haul for #campdigital attendees of my talk 🎁

The 421st edition of the Internet of Public Service jobs newsletter is here. newsletter.digitalbydefault.jobs/internet-of-... Includes what would have been my dream job for a very long time!

😞 LinkedIn has changed its job search for some pseudo-AI option which doesn't seem to really work...combine this with the Civil Service Jobs Beta and I think the Universe is saying a decade of #jukesiejobs might have been plenty!

Two more online run throughs of my talk booked in before #CampDigital but I might have to lock some of the Product for the People folk in a room in Birmingham for an in-person preview 😆
