I hear you! I’m the same with TV. Sometimes all I can handle is drivel 🫣

Oh yes! I teach English, but frankly, sometimes I just want something that’s nice and easy to read.

My sons’ old primary head teacher used to keep his personal kettle in the cupboard. Not a euphemism.

I hope those last few hours are lovely for you.

Hope you settle soon. I’ve moved twice in my 56 years. Not a huge fan, either.

Ooof @brainlessblogger.bsky.social Lots of resonance. #EDS

Good, thank you. I’m in Valetta, celebrating the end of my marking marathon and trying to forget the state of the world.

I’m glad to have found you here. I haven’t closed my account there, yet (pig_witch). It feels too final.

The behaviour towards the elderly and disabled people during Covid really changed my views. It became starkly apparent that whom a government/society values influences policy. I’m particularly thinking about hospital discharges into care homes.

Quite!

It’s certainly been hard to find people! It doesn’t help that my old Twitter handle was already taken by someone posting adult content 🫣.

Hello! I don’t know how I didn’t find you on here!

It’s definitely sensorineural loss, MRI has ruled out ossicular chain issues, tumours etc. Hmmmm.

Seconded.

Sending love and solidarity to all disabled people right now who, like myself, are genuinely concerned about the future and don’t know what it will mean yet. We deserve so much better

Until we can guarantee that everyone who wants to live is given all the support and assistance they need, we cannot guarantee it will be a free choice without coercion. Even more so right now. Principle of autonomy yes. This Bill no. This society no. This government no. 2/2

Oh my goodness. I have no issue with ‘appropriately qualified’ BUT only NHS. That’s awful.

Even the pink headline is likely to be ableist.

Really interesting. I hugely resent the ‘disease-if-ication’ of menopause.

I teach entirely online, so I hear you!

Hope it’s not sore!

Can be very hard to tell, especially online, I find. I’ve not done as ‘big a’ thing as you, but spoke at a couple of forum/conferences this year, also on-line. You just can’t tell if folk are engaged or not!

It was easy! Just posted a picture and then deleted it because I wondered if it was weird posting a photo of a nightie! Dear me. Main thing is that satin was surprisingly easy to use. It was fairly heavyweight, so I suspect that helped. I’ll try again with better fabric.

I’m about to attempt to sew satin for the first time.

Hope it went very well.

Thank you - goodness, I’m no expert, though. Maybe it depends how creative/humorous you feel? I’d be dreadful, so I’d stick to short and snappy.
