Some Americans were Army brats as kids — their parents were career military people so they lived all over the world. Me? USAID brat who lived in Ibadan, Nigeria.

Also, make the guys (and they are almost exclusively guys) working on #AI to work on something more socially useful — like machines that can pick these crops instead of people.

Hope that happens for u GG. For many ppl, esp older ones, 1 quality, face-to-face conversation/day doesn’t happen. Sometimes older folks need to brush up on conversation skills, esp listening and being interested in the other person. I get to say that b/c I’m 65. I watch those tendencies in myself.

The right appeals 2 emotion not logic. Studies say appeals 2 emotion more effective than appeals 2 #logic. U must have solid education 2 understand, agree w this. It’s why so many rural ppl vote, behave counterintuitively. Former #rhetoric instructor here. Today, “rhetoric class”= English Comp 102.

In the Big Picture, there’s little difference between this MN shooter and an ISIS terrorist: Both are extremists who twist religion for their own extreme, warped, hypermasculine purposes.

He reminds me of my dog–a stray from local shelter. My Jayce languished there for 6 mos. Part of the problem, IMHO: sign on his cage said “pitbull mix”. He does appear to be part American Staffie pitbull, I also see boxer, German shorthair pointer & whippet in him. Had him about 3 years. Great dog.
