Apparently a senator is taking things into his own hands to discuss the release directly with president Bukele.
It's wild to me that anyone can just be shipped to a foreign country and imprisoned there even if they didn't commit crimes in the foreign country. All the prisoners need to be returned.

I know my cats are messy eaters... 1 hates eating from a bowl and will drag biscuits out 1-2 at a time to eat off the floor. The other will scarf it down so fast it makes him sick so he ends up throwing it up on the carpet elsewhere... So we feed him from a jar so he drags them out 1-2 at a time...

I think the analogy is fairly apt. You need to pay attention to the shirt (plot) over all and not just focus on certain parts otherwise you can unintentionally cause creases that don't line up, or miss wrinkles in other parts. It takes practice to get fantastic results, but is easy to learn to do.

Oh I had a stress dream become real life stress when I woke up from the dream to my phone blowing up with work emails at 3am (if I'm getting emails at 3am it means something is seriously broken and it will be something I have to fix)

I have some bad news for you. New Zealand also has a lot of religious zealots. A certain church in particular is known to follow the teachings of the American zealots and be overly interested in what people do with their bits and what people's gender expression is and if it fits their world view.

I had been doing some hunting since my last reply and it seems this is relatively under studied. Honestly I'm leaning towards agreeing with you, especially with known bad practices in the oil industry like fracking, but would love to see further research.

I tried hunting for studies after I made that comment. Turns out it's an under researched subject and I couldn't find anything that says how bad it is, just that lithium mining is worse than not mining. Outside of that I found suggestions to buy small ev over the SUV sized to limit these factors.

Interesting read thank you! When it comes to carbon emissions EVs are way better. My intentions were more to point out how bad the manufacturing was in regards to the damage caused by lithium mining such as water use and pollution. Re-reading my original comment I can see I didn't make that clear

I'm open to being wrong. I will admit I haven't directly read studies and am just going off things I've heard in summaries. I'm well aware that those can be worded badly or biased. I'd be interested to know if that included mining for materials and the harm to the local environ like water pollution.
