Same reason why people enjoy playing stuff like Diablo or Path of Exile. At the end of the day, its about making a powerful character and seeing numbers go up.
(Also, yeah, the main story of 3 was meh, and probably the worst to get a first impression of, but the DLCs/other games are better)

Everything about that segment was so good. The delivery from both Harley and Bowens during the exchange, the crowd chanting, the hug from Billy, Max jumping up in the air in excitement. It was such a magical, positive moment, that made me proud to be a wrestling fan.
