For more context, see Canadaās most recent election. The Liberal party were dead in the water, largely because of dissatisfaction with Trudeau. The party dropped their leader, went a different direction, and won.
Conservatives, on the other hand, stuck with their unpopular leader and lost.

I know there are honest, patriotic Canadians who hate the Oilers with an all-consuming passion. But this year, I hope those rivalries can be set aside in the name of giving the USA a(nother) black eye.

When I come to power, my first act will be to ban any hockey team in any city that doesn't get snow. (I'll give Las Vegas a pass because it's basically a theme park as a city, but Tampa Bay and Florida will be SOL.)

A rematch is not what I would've asked for, but here's where we are. I'm backing the Oilers just because I don't want to see Florida win back-to-back, and also it's a Canadian team.

Indeed, and while the courts should reign Trump in (constitutional crisis notwithstanding), the damage has already been done. The rest of the world won't trust us for a good long while (if ever again), and the economy has been dealt a bodyblow that will take more than a quarter to rebound from.

Did some playtests, including one at PAXU. It has enough mechanical weight to be intriguing, while allowing a lot of room for improvisation. Definitely scratches an itch.
