Both Harmeet Dhillon and the "civil rights" DAAG Brown are both UVA graduates; a pretty disgusting coincidence that this is happening to the university based in Charlottesville where Heather Heyer was killed by a Nazi Trump's happy to enable people who think conservatives should restructure society

We’ve strayed so far from god’s light. The new one isn’t even a Max.

🚨NEW: Erez Reuveni, the DOJ lawyer fired for his honesty in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case, sends Congress a whistleblower letter detailing lawlessness at the DOJ around the CECOT deportations. He says Emil Bove told the DOJ to respond to likely court orders blocking flights with "fuck you."

Besides the obviously bad practical effects this will have, if you aren't aware of what the Supreme Court did here, it's gross: the Trump administration violated court orders *twice*, which should forfeit their right to relief, and the court gave it to them anyway.

I wanted to write something up about how I've read about illegal orders, and what recourse the people asked to follow what they believe one have (I'll add here that I am NOT arguing that Trump/Hegseth ordering the bombing of Iran is one). But rather than speak on a subject I'm not qualified to ...

Impeachment now. This is not a legal gray area - this open defiance of our constitutional system.

It's understandable we all mostly take it as a given that Trump doesn't bother to adhere to Constitution or the laws passed by Congress, but it is still both (a) absolutely necessary for our democracy and (b) good political strategy for Dems to file articles of impeachment over this.

If Congress had any sense left, I’d be waking up to President JD Vance tomorrow Okay, I need to workshop this a bit..

Sometimes I wonder what rider rating I received from my fairly obviously eugenicist Uber driver a few months ago..

Blocked JD Vance

Remy was unusually photogenic tonight

<thread> On the left: June 12, Judge Breyer writing that THE test for whether the US Marines/Guard violate Posse Comitatus will be whether they've engaged in "detaining" civilians. On the right: June 13: See for yourself. Note: The DoD has confirmed the detention of civilian to Reuters.

Talked Porsches with Ernie Moniz at a wedding reception; somehow it didn’t hit me who he was until I got home 🤷‍♂️

The head of the department of homeland security announced that she planned to use military force to take over a democratically elected government in the state of California and we are arguing about whether a California Senator properly identified himself at the door.

Dan’s Cafe isn’t named for its owner, but Clinnie “Dickie” Dickens ran the dive for 60 years before passing in February. @barredindc.bsky.social‬ chronicles the history of one of D.C.’s most storied bars.

If they thought he was an attacker, why was their strategy to shove and pull him out of the room, instead of disabling him ASAP? They were bothered by the spectacle, they didn’t think he was a threat to her person

Notice she's not talking about "criminals" anymore. Now they're onto who they perceive as their enemies, including the people *we* elected. They want to use L.A. to show they can force liberal cities into submission.
