Teacher. Ally. Thoughts are my own, and usually salty. Coffee is life. Maslow before Bloom. Grateful for this island, these trees, this water. Doing my best to keep Nanaimo weird.

I'm a teacher, and I do this in the summer, too, Dave. The only thing I can offer by way of explanation is that it's how I give back to myself after giving so much of myself to others.

Of course we already know that the guy can't even do basic math, but come on...

Ranching? Lol. > 85% of people in AB live in urban areas. Rhinestone cowboys for Stampede week, maybe. 🙄

That's kinda the whole point of copyright, no?

And Albertans are going to be on the hook for irreparable environmental damage again, aren't they?

Remind us, Shannon...what were the projected financial benefits to ABGov for reactivating coal mining in AB? I seem to remember that the royalties number was shockingly small. How do they plan to square the gains against losses, ie. $15B lawsuits from bad actors?

And our recent federal election edged us closer to a two-party system than ever before.
We didn’t just lose news from our feeds two years ago — we *are losing* our sense of a shared story.
That's why I built ShareTheNews — a workaround for Meta's news ban.
Try it. Use it.

I know you said NS specific, but I have two certificates from AB - one from the officiant, and one from the province. Only the provincial one is considered a legal document. 🫤

Sadly, they could have run Gunn in AB or SK and he would have won by a landslide. ON elected Roman Baber, Jamil Jivani, Andrew Lawton at 50%+...the CPC is rotten to the core and voters lap up the propaganda.

CPC took advantage of low-information voters, local media didn't cover his shady history, and not one of the other parties had an effective plan to counter how serious the threat was. Every other party sat back and watched PP campaign here for 3 years...

North island has a long history of voting flips at 35-39% of the vote. The CPC win is not unprecedented. We all need to step back and breathe. There's a reason why the CPC invested 3 years of time and campaigning here, and it's 💯 to do with exploiting the vote split.

100% test case for electoral reform. The left parties thumbed their noses at a coalition of the willing. 🤷🏼♀️

Because he won the vote split. NDP collapsed, LPC didn't surge high enough, and GRNs played spoiler. Gunn didn't win people wanted the CPC. 62% of the people in north island did NOT vote for him.

No, it's not really. 65% voted for LIB/NDP/GRN. There were no landslide CPC wins, and it largely rejected BC Cons provincially, too. Separatists can FRO.

In Nanaimo, too. It was still $1.51 last week. Jumped twice in the last 7 days.

Someone left their Charter of Rights at home again, didn't they? Seriously though, it's past time to start upholding our laws against hate and passing stronger legislation that disempowers these asshats. 🙄

The APP is led by recalcitrant convoy-ites and conspiracy theorists who were nothing but trouble during COVID restrictions. I say goodbye and good luck to all of them. www.newsweek.com/alberta-sepa...
