Some small extra stats; My favorite piece was Lapras, my least favorite was Aerodactyl, the most liked was Dragonair and the piece I learned the most through was Gyrados (I think, the segment bits killed me)

Once I get in the rhythm of working consistently, I’ll start posting some of my attempts. I will also be drawing some creatures from reference books I’ve picked up over the last year.

I plan on working slowly through the rest of Gen 2, hopefully finishing by the end of the year with improved backgrounds and more detail on the pokemon themselves. I also plan on learning how to draw people, cause my last few attempts have been a bit horrendous

I started on February 20th, and finished on December 4th, with 6 pokemon being traced, and all others being drawn by hand with references.
Overall, I’ve been very happy with my progress! Comparing my start with my finish improvement is pretty apparent, but there’s still loads of room to grow!

So over the course of 2024, I decided to learn how to draw to take my mind off of a personal event that left me depressed. In order to give myself a goal, I decided to draw each of the original 151 pokemon before the end of the year, while avoiding tracing so long as I was feeling well enough.
