It's not as simple as that. I agree we need to increase taxes on wealthier Americans, but that won't solve the whole problem. It's more complicated than that.

It's hilarious AND horrifying. Hard agree that governance is serious business....perhaps this fight will wake some Americans up to that fact.

I'm sure you're right. 12-D chess and all that...all part of the plan.

Ignore my opinion if you disagree. I'm not a New Yorker, and I'm honestly asking if those two are the only candidates. From what I've seen, I agree NYC has had some really terrible mayors. I'd want both character and some relevant experience if I lived in NYC. It's not my decision, though.

This isn't real, is it? It has definite "give me back the mixed tape I made for you" vibes from the 1980s.

True, but we deserve a moment of pleasure. We have so much heartache and anxiety these days.

I'd definitely pick the person with better character if those two are the only options, but is that the case? NYC is a huge city. Isn't there someone with decent values with some experience, too? It's a serious job with real-world consequences for millions of people.

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is a joint venture of Lockheed and Boeing, and it has a longer and far better satellite launch record than SpaceX. I have no idea if the USG can legally end the contracts , but ULA is more established and operationally successful than SpaceX.

Cuomo has huge character issues; Mamdani doesn't seem to have enough experience to lead the country's largest city. Isn't there anyone better? It's a really big, important job that affects millions of people's lives.

Bang this drum relentlessly, @markwarner.bsky.social. The grift is the main goal of this administration. The American people are being fleeced...some by choice because they've believed the lies they've been told, while the rest are having their personal data and govt services stripped from them.

Thank you, @bennet.senate.gov! Trump's crypto scheme is a massive grift.

His lack of understanding is not limited to the global economy...

How do we help you take ownership of WaPo? Can we crowd source funding? Start a grassroots campaign to convince Bezos to sell? It's soooo sad to see this icon of American journalism descend into mediocrity like this. We must save the Post!

Exactly. I'm so tired of hearing "tax cuts pay for themselves through increased growth" theories, when we have evidence over several decades now that this is rarely the case.

Zelensky has many admirable qualities as a leader, and one is that he reads people very well. He was absolutely right not to tell Trump or our government about the planned operation. There's no telling what they would do with the information. It pains me to say it, but it's a realistic assessment.
