I will also add that the CTA is filthy due to rider behavior and lack of cleaning by CTA. There is trash, spilled food, spilled drinks, the smell of urine, and seats that can’t be used because they are dirty. Add to this the stations which are bad too, especially downtown subway stops.

Like many problems with CTA, this is a big issue. It affects ridership, tourism, public health. Not long ago on the Red Line I asked someone smoking to stop. They refused. I went towards the call button on the train to notify the operator, and a woman intentionally blocked me from doing so.

I think the issue is Booker took donations from the Kushner’s for a long time, so he appears with this vote to be in their pocket. I agree he is doing many things right. Why can’t he stand up for this?
