Kaelyn P. Dowd is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Monoxides entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on.

The police say they weren't assisting but everyone saw them assisting and the law is actually extremely clear about security perimeters—local PDs are prohibited from establishing them to protect immigration enforcement operations. It is not insane for reporters to point this out. And yet.

having no values you aren't willing to negotiate away isn't smart politics, it's nihilism

And one faction of the coalition is in charge, and will do anything to maintain their grip on power. They briefly thought Kamala could help them maintain it. But it wasn't enough. Leaving the "party" is a completely rational act. I can't speak to KJP's motivations, but fuck the Democratic Party.

Look, I don't think we have to pretend like the Democrats are a party. And we certainly don't have to pretend to care and prop up the Democratic leadership that can't even oppose fascism effectively. The dems are a coalition. In any other country, they would be multiple parties. 1/

This guy sucks, but if AI were what it says on the tin, there would actually be moral implications. One problem is that AI is just a slop regurgitation algo, and the folks selling it to investors are cosplaying as digital gods of creation in order to amass wealth from the collective delusion.

Three alderpeople (Anthony Quezada, Rosanna Rodriguez Sanchez, Byron Sigcho Lopez) on site at ISAP office. Cook County Commissioner Jessica Vasquez. Reportedly also a chief from the mayor's office, Kennedy Bartley.

Lots just happened at once. Group of ICE agents just pushed past protestors, shoving some people - incl. Ald. Quezada - to the ground, in order to escort multiple people into vans, which then drove off. "It's the worst. It's devastating," Quezada says.

Isn't bear spray distinct from "mace"? Bear sprays have a higher potency and are specially designed to be more pressurized to travel long distances. Young children could very easily be more at risk of eye damage overall and less able to understand what is happening and mitigate the worst effects.
