Street light updates: Added a glow sprite (due to popular request - I feel you), added a hazy light cone under the lights (apparent at distance), lighting gives the car a subtle warm glow, and the pools of light below the poles now have nice soft edges.

Didn't win the game trailer contest by Blue Ocean Games, but I'll sure take 36th out of 1066! Honestly, it gave me a reason to finally put out a proper trailer for KG, so I'm quite happy.

Every bit of detail takes time! This is how I add the guard rails - I generate them along a spline and line it up by hand c:

Broke a bunch of guard rails and have to remake them all 🥲. The second time doing something always turns out a little better though.

Haven't been posting as much because I've been busy with the game! Some updates - added camera blending to interactions, removed 10 gigs of working files from the project, experiments with optimizations, and SO MANY TRAILER REVISIONS. Trailer's gunna drop Monday.

Finally have the NPC cars updated to use stylized lights and make effects like tire smoke and skids etc. The night time look is coming together well, especially with the new map/speedo too c:

Rock retexturing is going well! I kept it a bit less detailed in most spots due to concern about the repeating patterns, but the transitions between grass and rock is a lot nicer.

Working on finding a nice balance between the old rock texture and new one. Don't want too many repeating patterns.

New speedo with day/night transitions! Was targeting (of course) a 90s vibe with a segmented number display and a green glow at night! Excuse the super fast day/night transitions for testing purposes.
