Weird that people keep posting this certificate as though it means something. The suspect was appointed to a BIPARTISAN low level committee. Bipartisan means there were Rs on it who were recommended by the R party. I’ve been on similar committees. I guarantee the governor doesn’t know me.

The bill also sells off public land to wealthy developers in exchange for tax breaks for wealthy developers. The land belongs to the people of the US. This bill allows straight up theft.

Probably a desperate man but I hope the police are at least considering that he was hired. If you read the bio he wrote for himself it does sound “over the top” and very much like what a wanna be assassin might write.

lol. People who knew him all said he was a huge Trump supporter. He had a list of targets - all of them Democrats. If you believe he was a dem, I have some swampland to sell you. 😂

The reservations were set up to give the native population some amount of autonomy to preserve their culture and language. This crazy techno nightmare would destroy both. It’s just more colonization and land theft. Tribes will be left with nothing.

Excellent article

It doesn’t. My comment had nothing to do with the parents being held liable. I don’t agree with them being held liable. My comment related to the bigoted ageism people were aiming at the driver without stopping to think about the physics.

There are lots of things the city could have done to make the situation safer. I just object to people inventing “facts” about the driver. We don’t know why the person hit the child. It could well have been an inability to stop the car.

I agree with that. Our culture does overemphasize cars. The city could have done much more to keep people safe, including an overpass walkway.

How do you know the child was two houses away from the car? If the child jumped in 10 feet ahead of the car, the driver couldn’t turn.

At 40 mph it takes 115 feet to stop.Doesn’t matter if the person driving is a 40 yo poor black man, a 78 yo white woman or you. Many people here have invented “facts” - the driver was distracted, not paying attention, let off for being wealthy, too old to drive etc. There is no basis for these

More than 200 people commented. Not one understands physics. A car going 30 mph takes 75 feet to stop. If the child jumped out less than 75 feet in front of the car, the car couldn’t have stopped in time. The driver’s age, race and wealth is probably irrelevant.

How ‘bout we apply this to RFK and his departments reports?

If congress had a backbone, they’d impeach him and part of the Supreme Court for perjury. The statements he made at his confirmation hearing were under oath

Musk: “I don’t wanna… speak up against the administration, but I also don’t wanna take responsibility for everything this administration does.” Translation: I’m too much of a coward to either go against Trump or take the blame for not speaking up.

The ABA is a non partisan group. The members are from the full spectrum of political beliefs. The one thing they have in common is a belief in a fair system.
If one baseball team cheated constantly, would you blame the ump for making calls that favor the other side? That’s what Bondi is doing.

A high school or college student would be suspended for using AI to write a report, especially one with incorrect citations. Why can’t we suspend RFK?

They all put their hand on the Bible, take an oath to uphold the Constitution and then trash the Constitution. It’s pretty clear how little they value their word of honor - or the Bible.

So, it’s ok with him that the US is destroying all the things that made the US great - Due Process, Habeus Corpus, First Amendment Right of Free Speech and separation of church and state. However, booing the US anthem makes him mad. Never underestimate the ability of MAGA to focus on the trivial.

I was impressed that a GOP candidate put the good of the state or his party over his personal interests - a refreshing change from the ego maniac Ramiswamy. Wrong. Turns out he tried to trade dropping out of the race for a job in the Trump administration. Corruption runs deep in the GOP.

Tax exemptions are for organizations that promote public health and welfare. Tax exempt organizations are expressly forbidden to make political statements. Churches are increasingly crossing the line. They need to lose their exemptions
