Had such fun surprising a friend with a birthday cake today (simple as I thought we might be enjoying it at a park), then learned it was the first one she'd had since childhood. 💕 It's a "burgundy" velvet cake (I added butterfly pea powder to deepen the tone), flavoured with clove & lavender sugar.

I don't use generative AI because as a writer of fiction, it offers me nothing useful creatively and nothing trustworthy when I do research. It's not worth the environmental impact. That it's been created by stealing my work and using it in breach of copyright law is a further but separate issue.

Thank you gorgeously vibrant male cardinal that perched outside the window just now. I needed that. Nature has its own daily struggles and concerns (& joys!), but there's a true comfort in knowing there's a lot of human-centric things they ~don't~ know too.

Thanks! Yes, the actual Kambriel site is: www.kambriel.com ~ it's recently been revamped with lots of archival bits too! I'm in the midst of a move so the selection's smaller right now, but as things get settled/unpacked some special pieces will be going up. I'll update here when they're added. 💜
