Ignoring for a second that this is a bad faith argument being made by people whose philosophy can be summarised as ‘debate me’, where’s the evidence? Whose numbers are being cited? Also, this is all predicated on the outdated notion that growth metrics of VC-funded startups are what bsky values.

In fairness who hasn’t popped an unintentional boner wearing a superman outfit whilst posing for a photo with a young fan? 🙃

Sounds like a prime candidate for a sudden Bear Grylls baptism

omg. surely that’s not real?

I get the nostalgia value, but I couldn’t get over the ridiculously high-stakes galactic-scale crisis of that show. You need low-stakes stuff as well as the big story beats.

That’s the show I’d have loved to watch. Not that greatest hits fan service embarrassment Picard.

They’d already established that the Federation wasn’t as squeaky clean as they’d like you to believe. The other powers were ruined, millions dead. A proud Imperialist Klingon chancellor replaced by a war hero with Worf as his most trusted aide.

ST: Picard was such a waste of energy as a follow up to those shows when the real sauce would have been something covering the political intrigue of the alpha quadrant’s major powers recovering in the wake of the war.

No higher praise!

Fun aside: I found a copper wearing the logo I made years ago on his hi-viz jacket when I went to Luton away earlier this season.

Well, it’s a new *old* badge. Some elements taken from the one I made a few years ago, but redrawn, tweaked and refined.

But you don’t get league points in a knockout competition…

actually we get the best of it: screenshots and hot takes without giving them any other engagement metrics (eyeballs on their site etc.)

I don’t have the time or energy to engage with a reply guy, but for the clarity of somebody who is clearly wilfully seeking to argue: the phrase ‘trans rights are human rights’ is what’s known as a ‘rhetorical device’, to demonstrate that what affects one affects the other. Clear? Good. Bye now.

You’re debating a straw man here mate.

You score points from wins in the League Cup? 🤔

You really shouldn’t use the mad hatters as representatives of Cov fans in your graphics. Most Cov fans in the know don’t like or respect them.

It’s a statement of fact, not a solution.

Gay marriage. Abortions. Disability and race discrimination. Any number of other progressive laws, a future (say, Reform) government could seek to dismiss on the basis they have a legal precedent. This is why they care about this so much! It’s a legal magic wand with a universal adapter.

Once again: trans rights are human rights. What they can abuse here, they will abuse anywhere else they care to.

‘Yeah I know you *thought* you had rights to a fair trial by a jury of your peers, but *actually* you had been lied to about that right for the past 400 years’

But would it ever truly ship?

Because the Switch eShop was so adamant I *didn’t* need to buy it separately (because it’s included with my Expansion Pack) I was scared to just go ahead and buy the upgrade, but I decided: YOLO, and guess what? It worked. So there you go, anyone else encountering the same problem.
comment in response to post
Update (because apparently I’d never tried this before): you can’t launch Animal Crossing with its expansion content (if downloaded via Switch Online with Expansion Pack) from a different user either (although the error is confusing and different).

I once boarded a train from Richmond to Waterloo beside Richard E Grant at rush hour. I got the last seat so he stood beside me the whole way in lol

Coincidentally I once queued behind Matt Lucas at Burger King at Paddington (literally 20+ years ago). After he’d been served I went to the guy ‘was that…?’ and he gave an exasperated sigh and said yes, he’s been an absolute twat, queuing up twice to complaining about his burger.

I’m sure I’ve heard rumours about him. But he fails a vibe check for me.
