Please spread the word that MAGA falsely blamed the libs for violence in those 2020 protests, too. We have got to keep fighting their big lies:

Not a leftist shill but I do hope one steps up and he ruins his favorite shoes.

That would also be a mistake but at this point, still an improvement.

They should call her back in 3 yrs so we can hear why she had to vote for him again even though he has no business running for a third term and she didn’t like some of the things he did. She will still believe the alternative is somehow worse. 🙄

The best thing about appointing the incompetent, unscrupulous and addicted to do your dirty work? It’s super easy to shift the blame for everything on them after the damage is done.

Ew.

A concerted effort by the billionaire class, blatant access journalism, journalists who never learned how to do the hard parts, the firing of those who try and a lot of the general public preferring any potential conspiracy that justifies their malice and lack of empathy.

They aren’t. They love a bully and will worship one who hates all the same people they do. 🥴

It’s still like this in a lot of schools. Kids can get 100% on all of their work and still fail the tests. The teachers tell them they didn’t study, but clearly they weren’t taught what would be on the test.

Yep. 4.1 eastern TN. Most of the western Carolinas and northern GA could feel it.

It seems likely this Pope was chosen as a preventative measure. Good luck to him. The Catholic weapon of choice is shame and those folks have none.

It’s b/c many of the converts come from evangelical backgrounds. That they want to have all the pretty ritual/culture/supposed legitimacy of Catholicism and keep the fear and bigotry of their previous version of Christianity. I suspect they plan to kill the parts they don’t like from the inside.

🥰 Meanwhile, I watch it in its entirety every time an algorithm shows it to me. 😅

I saw the first one in 2007. I think it must have been on some premium cable channel, didn’t rent it. I have not seen the sequel.

Unfortunately, most of the people who really need to watch them? Wouldn’t do it even if you paid them $20 to watch.

I was re-watching Independence Day, a few years ago, and it slowly dawned on me that *humans* would be the locust like aliens. We would move through the universe and destroy planets for resources, if we ever got to interstellar travel. 🫠

Wait, what? I’m seriously asking: When did he start supporting the Trump administration? This would be super disappointing if true. 😟

It really does depend on the location. I went to one in Hawaii that had about 80 people in line before the door was open. My local one might have 10 people but if I show up after 10 AM, it’s gonna be slammed every day of the week. 😅

Go in the morning. Like if the store opens at 9:30 go right at 9:30. Take a tour of the store the first time and try not to buy anything except for maybe a hotdog on the way out. You will absolutely end up buying something anyway. But you probably won’t regret it.

Many of these same people basically made that argument when wearing a seatbelt became law. 👀

A few references/jokes will go over your head but I think the storyline is easy to follow without them. The experience is always going to be better w context but watching all the films now is a monumental task.

They a hoping those families will send their kids to work asap, this is why many states are trying to roll back child labor laws and defunding education.

💯 Unfortunately, folks keep electing the most unscrupulous thugs who will continue to ignore any request from the public to make changes that would hurt their ability to profit from their position.

What we should care about is that eugenicists do not want to spend any money on those things and historically fascists do horrible things in the name of eugenics.

Nope. They are stupid. Like genuinely ignorant. Trump is most appealing to folks with mile wide inferiority complexes. He tells them how smart they are, and he punches the people they don’t like. They are legit surprised and didn’t expect to suffer w us.

I’m not saying they were good people who got conned. Most of them were thrilled to hear the racist, bigoted and misogynistic plans that he had for us. They were just dumb/hateful enough to believe there would be no cost to them.

I don’t think enough people spend time looking at what was happening on the 24/7 propaganda channels and socials echo chambers. There is no evidence of what was going to happen over there. They heard what they wanted to hear, and they looked no deeper.

Anyone with a middle school child’s understanding of history and basic pattern recognition should have seen it coming but the fact remains that they did not actually vote for this. Even though most of them made the same mistake twice. 🥴
comment in response to

Nope. Even if you take the election results at face value and do not unpack the voter suppression, etc? Less than a third of eligible voters asked for this. And we already see a significant number of those folks complaining that they didn’t know that they voted for this. They got conned.

He (and previous GOP leaders) have dismantled all the usual avenues of recourse. They have eliminated or replaced anyone with a duty to investigate or the power to hold them accountable.

They are complicit or cowards. There are only a few exceptions.
