I think his starter motor is acting up. Not turning over all the way.

I would also secure a vanity domain for my handle at least instead of v1.1.1-gold-final-FINAL.pdf

They may also yet land all of this in the finale, making the new leads driving force in the end, but it feels like while other series from these creatives delightfully balanced & interwove callbacks & character building, it's been much harder here, perhaps due to its meta-textual message about UC.

The show is great as a meta-narrative about UC, but it's weak vs. the kind of character depth the same creatives have done for other casts of young people, because in those series, they were centralized. Like I said, GQuuuuuuX can be both a clockwork commentary via references, yet thin on character.

I think the show has been caught by the limited runtime to endear Nyaan & Machu to viewers beyond impressionistic strokes before they're overwhelmed by the Machiavellian players fighting each other. It's very realistic in someways that they're pawns, but a handful of scenes isn't a character arc.

I knew they did one of these:

And while they mostly do alcohol antics, they do interview other youtubers/influencers sometimes: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY4j...

only clicking with me now the fact he doesn't have a vanity handle here is because there's no official vice president subdomain or full dot gov to be used, and his personal vanity dot com redirects to trump personal website. he doesn't even have a web identity like that.

Entirely correct. The plus cost of Cost Plus is terrible posters.

It's worth saving it just for people with 5+ figure follower counts complaining about insufficient engagement.

Excellent thread, though you shouldn't have to make that. It's like a free space for Bluesky community relations to have a one pager with this kind of information. It's the elevator pitch.

Bluesky should really put up an FAQ for these folks. They've got the information scattered across some blog posts, but we should all have a nice, easy FAQ we can point people at, if only for the satisfying dunk that comes with a "read the manual" reply.

Yeah, he actually chose the "v1-final-FINAL-RELEASE" looking user name.

Ted also doesn't know that Lucas said outright America is the Empire.

A strong reminder basically that by the measure of the median otaku, I don't fit that at all.

Yeah my 3 thoughts going through this was: 1. This chart's taste sucks. 2. It starts after my peak collector scum years in the early 00s 3. I definitely took 2008-2009 off relatively speaking.
