we got literal handouts during covid and everyone was STOKED about the free money, and in fact the main complaint was that it wasn't more money.

this month we should be busy with a snap election for something called "Turbo Congress"

one that we actually finish this time. if we'd fully committed to the first one, we could've avoided a *lot* of problems. (but "second reconstruction" is a better, snappier framing.)

NYC counts *fast* so we'll know what's going on very quickly in the final count it depends a bit on how much Lander/Adams/other support there is, but the ultimate margin has a pretty clear gradient Cuomo losing or up under 2 we feel good Cuomo up 5+ we feel bad in between... we wait

Unfortunately if your phone often thinks you go from home to (0,0) (because your gps can't get a lock when you're on the subway for example and defaults to thinking you're at 0,0) the inference might pick that up. You'd think there'd be code to check for that... and yet....

if you're explaining, you're losing. people don't need a formula, they need to understand you, quickly. making your audience do mental math is the precise opposite of what I'm suggesting.

they're gonna call even the gentlest lib a frothing Marxist no matter how the messaging is couched. Gotta start saying what we mean with our full chests and in language people actually use.

“Never vote for someone you hate.” i.e. do not rank anyone who you would not ~~actually want in office~~ so if there are only three or four candidates you could actually stand, rank only those three or four (rather than filling out all five with candidates you don’t really like) more here:

Sam Altman could probably save OpenAI's finances by reorganizing it as a faith-based institution to regain nonprofit status, it would be cynical but not dishonest
