Opening a dishwasher after the cycle, taking out one clean dish, and not putting everything else away should have severe repercussions. I have re-washed way too many loads.

Mice can be a significant health concern. They can carry leptospirosis and hantavirus, both scary zoonotic diseases. Keep on the landlord about this!!
