Husband was planning officer who recommended refusal of their original application, committee members overruled his advice. Daughter was a zoo keeper for a short while there until he decided to sack her at a whim, something he frequently seemed to do. There’s plenty could say, closure overdue imho.

That might be a point if it wasn’t for the reason people are leaving Twitter/X for here in droves is because it’s become a Musk promotion site for the US government and the far right. They want to escape to somewhere to coin a phrase ‘nice’ and not dominated by political battlegrounds.

It’s social media that won it for them. Disinformation, Brexit on steroids. A multi billionaire who bought a platform to promote the next president of his choice. Without that equal playing field they were doomed.
