bsky.app/profile/kath... (long, venty-ish thread, nsfw imagery inside, sorry4hijacking ):

in short: nothing's wrong with the smaller thumbnails, no idea why unreal did the bigger ones if it takes the same space

yep, having someone to blame makes people get confident in their misplaced, misinformed anger, and will double down if given the chance

i may have likely phrased things incorrectly, but if you get the gist of things, You Get The Gist Of It

it IS possible that the last thing you brought up may likely be true; that Other Place:tm: has conditioned us to get mad at effectively everything and have a scapegoat to blame for it.
on here, personal curation actually does work, and it helps mentally to take time *to* curate things

possible downsides to having a unique looking character
trust me, i know

its just.,, if youre going to trace something for art, trace and use yourself as reference because that way you'll learn a damn thing and use that knowledge to improve future work. Plus everything you used was your own

but, you know
the artist is charging upwards of 350 usd for a single slot and isn't a new account, so of course they get let off the hook. gotta make sure any evidence is accurate beyond a reasonable doubt before taking action No Dont Use Detectors Those Are False Positives *moving goalposts*

just.. linework overall is i think what's making FA staff go "thats legit" because every single YCH in the scraps is traced over to look more authentic.. but they genuinely can't seem to figure out that im pointing out entirely different styles and the methods used to hide it...
im tired, boss

the comic i hadnt even thought of looking at due to my "things with multiple characters in them are less likely to be generated but like, what the hell is this anatomy size difference??? (its just clear that the fox was generated, painted over, and artist's main drawn on top of that to complete it)
comment in response to

im done, honestly. im tired and i have legit lost time researching my shit on this.
if any FA staff stumbles onto this, just suspend my account for a week or something since i know yall still actually take action for stuff done off-site,
i rarely use the site, so i won't notice the suspension

there used to be transparency, staff were specialized in specific topics that they could look at
i understand that i THINK its probably all volunteer work and that im complaining about a free-to-use site, but like
ive (obviously) been using it for over a decade, and this sucks ass (derogatory)

am i being unreasonable with my wording? probably.
should i have picked better descriptors? Maybe!
does this make me biased against them? absolutely. im mad, and im justified. im done being reasonable. its time for the court of public opinion since they cant be fucked to get more eyes to look
comment in response to

honestly my biggest gripe with this is that FA staff hide behind the anonymized "Fur Affinity Staff" account when it comes to reports. it feels too... "corporate-y". it doesnt feel like i'm being taken seriously.
someone needs to take the blame if something they did goes awry, not a faceless bitch
comment in response to

its just... annoying, in all honesty
i dont post much anymore and only use the site as a method of commissioning, and even that is almost useless because of all the ass that gets dumped on there (figuratively, of course)

sure, someones style could change but i shit you not, its not that fucking sudden, and its not that inconsistent in the same image. how do you manage to overlook that

comment in response to

you see this? this yearly tradition they do this thing
do you see the difference in STYLES, shading methods, face and head shape inconsistencies on the left? and how the right, older one is consistent throughout?
fucked up tbh
