Hahahahaha. My (Southern Baptist) grandmother was clutching her pearls when I told her how much I enjoyed yoga and that I attended classes weekly. I explained American yoga was mostly breathing and stretches. She had to check with her friends to see if what I said was right. šŸ˜‚

Three years ago he had no experience with public office. I expected him to be a quicker learner than this. I guess it must be the COVID learning delays. šŸ˜‚

With the way things work, I would expect the local sheriff might be more helpful. Checks and balances in the government also includes law enforcement because absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The Constitution is very clear. We shouldn’t need to be lawyers. We need the lawyers + judges to do their jobs in a way that keeps the rule of law intact. Journalists are not helping.

Is it on a pole?? We once used Vaseline on a pole to squirrel proof a bird feeder and it was great entertainment. We had to reapply as they were insistent and would eventually use up the Vaseline. But I cannot overstate the laughter of that process.

I think most of those still work. Maybe not the trip. Anything that says welcome to adulthood and I believe in your future. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

Or maybe he’s a guy who can do math and understands the economic devastation this could cause? Somehow I doubt the guy hiding from constituents is suddenly listening to them. šŸ˜‚

All I need to know is whether or not she knows how to dust and if she will do the baseboards or will I have to listen to her complain about her robot knees.

I mean…. Let’s do a quick, back of the envelope bit of war gaming… China has billions of people who exist in a culture that upholds government directives. USA has ~330M in a culture that worships rugged individualism. You don’t have to be a genius to see how this plays out… šŸ¤”

He will spin this to mean he doesn’t care if other car companies raise prices bc then the world will buy American. Or declare a win if America only buys American made cars. What sounds cruel to Ds is too easily ignored/explained away. Our only hope to stopping this: Rs pain and anguish. 😢

And most arrests are not major news. That takes a lot of work / planning and is generally much safer because of the press coverage.

The activism version of ā€œif a tree falls in the forestā€¦ā€ is if you get arrested and it isn’t major news…

The media flocks to the spectacles it is offered. Right now the most consistent spectacle is at the White House. Democrats could *easily* build a regular press conference and highlight their constituents being harmed by Trump/DOGE. I still cannot believe they haven’t started doing that.

Anybody waiting for the Democratic Party to ā€œshowcaseā€ the future of the party is not taking to heart the lesson of Bernie Sanders… He is an Independent. Nobody is showcasing him. He is DOING SOMETHING (on his own). Enough waiting. So-called leaders need to take action and LEAD.

Print a half page with your top 3-5 concerns and stand on the public sidewalk by a post office (do not block foot traffic). Ask the like-minded to join you for a few minutes. Build an awareness campaign with this simple act. Talk with them about what you can do to help others find their voices.

Andrew is a big bird watching guy and I think this is the perfect Father’s Day gift. A friends also has one and says she wishes she had a different one that does video. I’m obviously in the research phase šŸ˜‚
