I want to reply to your post but for now I need you to organize my thoughts around it.
You said your father was a member of the Panthers. East Coast/NYC? I might have known him back . During the COENTELPRO persecution I spent a lot of my time on Panther “projects”. And Assatta is still in Cuba

He’s going to push and push until all the walls and guardrails are down and there is nothing left. The question is what will the “Supremes” do?

This has been happening for a long time. In NYS some years ago state pretty much built at least one prison in each county. An attempt was made to build/expand county jails.I believe that if successful it would lead to an increased prison population. We mobilized and were successful. The good guys won!

He is very sweet with me but can get a real attitude (uppity) at any given time. When he wants attention if I don’t respond quickly he bumps his head against my lips so I have to kiss him. Same routine to wake me. He has just started purring but you really can’t hear it you have to feel it.?

I worked with a team of attorneys at NY Legal Aid and the Cornell Law Death Penalty Project. We were successful in having the death penalty overturned in NY.
I’ve been involved in social justice all of my life and just want the world to change.

I’m NYC too but stuck in Tennessee the reddest place in America. Hoping to get out of here soon and return to civilization. Attended NYU undergrad and the law school. In NY I focused my work on juveniles charged with felonies as adults.

I think it’s great idea. Right now Scout and I are sharing a root beer float & watching Mobsters. He is an unusual boy who has the wonderful behaviors attributed to red cats. When I brought him
home last fall from the shelter he strolled around like he owned the house and everything in it. X XO

This is Scout. He always looks so grungy because his fur is very soft and mats easily. He doesn’t mind the brush so much but gets upset when I try to cut them out. The vet says he is probably around 13 years old. He is a really great guy.

I wonder how many people on this app are our contemporaries? I’m thinking if there are enough of us we could probably raise some “good trouble”

Irish lads incarcerated in Maze Prison mounted a hunger strike and died. Bobby Sands was a member of Parliament at his death. They and the music still inspire me. Helping to get me through this terrible time. The book “Eight Men Dead” is a great chronicle of the time and issues.

Mumma Kitty is beautiful! I’m wondering how you keep her coat so smooth. I share my house with a medium long hair and I can’t keep up with the mats. Do you have any tips and/or tricks? This is my wonderful “Scout”.

My grandmother came through Ellis Island from Russia and the words on base, “I stand beside the Golden Door”meant a lot to me. Sadly the words on the base are no longer true and I don’t blame France for wanting her back. I will gladly accompany her.

This is wonderful to hear. If my mom were in g I would’ve alive, she
would be saying the same thing. That generation (60s) really believed they could change the world. To have to see and live with today’s world is just plain sad.
