I’ve been thinking we’ve got to stay focused on what they all agree on — that’s still the scariest part of this dystopia

I think you're right that the org is no longer involved; I noticed the withdrawal, too, but it was your post (as I obsessively search "Boasberg" & "Xinis" here) that made me look into what they are up to. Nearly impossible to keep track of all the fights as an observer, let alone litigating any!

Can you explain what is going on in the appeals court? This was two weeks ago; no motion to dismiss followed ...

As wrong as she is about the applicability of the law, even this Trump-appointed judge is saying that people need three-weeks' notice, not 12 hours or less.

What we've missed is whatever was discussed in a closed court proceeding; today 14 news orgs filed a motion to get unsealed all the documents that were filed under seal - we'll see what happens! I imagine Xinis had a good reason (& plaintiffs attorneys agreed) for docs to be under seal; unclear why!

Discovery documents are not normally part of the public docket -- there could be reams of documents, transcripts of depositions, etc, for the lawyers to go through and chose what to put in as evidence

On the last day, the govt asked for more time; Xinis said no, and resumed the discovery process - written responses from gov't due Monday 5/5; depositions also to take place next week: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Is everyone keeping an eye on Bluebonnet? Outside the class covered by this ruling, so even more at risk than when the detainees there sent out the SOS yesterday

ICE is apparently denying that it is him and insisting that it was really ICE -- not a good look, either way www.boston.com/news/local-n...
