We def don’t put our faith in you to vote correctly

This! Well said!

Actually very easy to believe, it’s strange you’d find it hard to believe, this is who they’ve been all along.

Same, I called them and then got an email to my “area rep” to send my thoughts on how he’s a poor representation of their values. newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/contact
comment in response to post
Same. And wrote to LDS asking if he is representing the values of their church since he is a prominent member.
comment in response to post
Be sure to tell LDS your opinions :-))) newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/contact

I called LDS and got an email for my area rep and asked for comment and noted how his behavior represents them. Maybe the Mormons can pressure him some idk
comment in response to post
Oooh thats good. I called and it didn’t sound like I was the first one they’d had today.
comment in response to post
Ok and what are you doing to stop this administration today
comment in response to post
Sure but you voted for Kristi Noem.

It’s been superrrrr quiet in my neighborhood (but it’s residential and about a mile north of the mall). I saw three people on a walk this morning in DuPont, one was in a veteran shirt but not outwardly MAGA and then two MAGA. Way more crowded for Pride last weekend!
comment in response to post
Maybe use yours to stop voting with Republicans
comment in response to post
Is there any chance of hail?
comment in response to post
It’s extremely overcast rn, hoping for lighting soon. Last weekend for Pride it was bright and sunny 😎

Def doesn’t seem that way after his staffer refused to listen and forced some law and order monologue about violent criminals on me. Worst staffer experience out of all 11 I called.

As a DC resident this warms my heart. Love our libraries and MLK fills me with pride. They had an awesome Green Book exhibit in Feb!
comment in response to post
Yeppp. I love it so much. Stayed in tonight enjoying my book from our lovely library system but glad to hear about the Boh search.
comment in response to post
This pleases me to hear

DC resident - def. very quiet today
comment in response to post
With hail and lightning plz!

Exactly my thoughts. Keep it coming Mother Nature!

I normally would never want to skip a Banneker pool day in summer but tmw I’m hoping for lightning and hail

And for that staffer to tell me “we don’t want any clashes” told me everything. His own views forced on 700,000 District residents, acting as if he knows what’s best rather than focusing on his own NY district. Shameful.
comment in response to post
Staffer had the audacity to tell me it was a good thing bc we don’t want any clashes on the streets of DC (maybe we do, I trust DC police more than ICE), and that it’s just for “violent criminals,” even when I pushed about what’s happening in LA and innocent people and children being taken.
comment in response to post
Yep. And I called his office today to discuss. His staffer was the worst one out of all 11 I spoke with. He was unwilling to hear me out & forced his own viewpoints. It was clear he didn’t understand, & didn’t want to understand DC residents, & wanted to force his views on me. No ability to listen.
comment in response to post
Was sure to call every office today and Clay Higgins. I asked if his job was to represent Louisiana 3 and his constituents, staffer said yes. Then asked why he was focusing on DC and how that helped his people and shouldn’t he focus on their needs, staffer got a little defensive.

(I hope it means no one’s coming I don’t want to see these people in my city)
comment in response to post
I remember checking around inauguration, they were all a lot more expensive like $500. Idk if that means anything.
comment in response to post
My city 😭
comment in response to post
Right. It’s so hypocritical and empty. He is an enabler.
comment in response to post
I’d say talk to your buddy @andykimnj.bsky.social about why he voted for this, but you also continually vote to advance this agenda so you’re both useless
comment in response to post
And…..? What? What are you doing besides being out of touch and unable to lead? Give us someone who will act.
comment in response to post
Debatable, apparently he wants to express gratitude towards ICE per his votes. www.newsweek.com/75-democrats...
comment in response to post
Yay good job voting for this @andykimnj.bsky.social!

I loathe her. She “lives in the woods” per her bio and yet has the absolute audacity to think she should decide things for city residents that are not in her state.
comment in response to post
What if we don’t spend $45 million on a parade and give them a raise
comment in response to post
You got what you voted for.
comment in response to post
Yes! I got hooked when he was mayor and I saw how he was supporting people during Sandy and then watched the docs bc I felt like he was “different.” Now I can see he’s just as rotten as the rest, but with showmanship
comment in response to post
Right. I actually wrote him a snail mail letter saying what a flop he is, and included a picture I had from 2016 to show I had been following early on. Total betrayal.
comment in response to post
This!!! King of words and then voting completely in favor of republican bills, like confirming Kushner
comment in response to post
@corybooker.com loves being offended and shopping his book while voting with the Trump agenda
comment in response to post
Ew what a useless flop. Hope he’s primaried ASAP
comment in response to post
Thanks for speaking up for us DC residents. Truly appreciated.
