We've been looking at consumer awareness/perception of EREV and it's basically an unknown outside of auto/engineering geeks. I've been floating the idea of calling them "PHEVs that don't suck" since buyers have better familiarity w/ PHEV. Thoughts?

If you’re willing to write off a third of your fellow Americans, I don’t know what to tell you.

Reasonable people don’t expect that of Democratic politicians or voters. I can’t speak for Joe, but I’m appealing to our common humanity. It’s the only way we get beyond this hyperpartisan moment we’re in.

The shame is, if they had launched the Ramcharger on the original schedule, they'd probably be killing it in alt-powertrain truck sales right now. (Not saying Ramcharger would outsell ICE 1500, just that it'd probably outsell F150 Lightning handily.)

This is the market-based solution to the issue. I approve.

Stated policy goals are just empty words. This administration's raison d'être is to keep Trump out of jail & serve as a platform for grift at a massive scale. That's why none of this makes sense: our normal framing of politics simply can't make sense of this. 3/4

Jigar is treating this administration like a normal administration and taking them at their word on wanting to achieve what they say they want to. But this isn't a normal administration. 2/4

Also Cato: '“With today’s announcement, U.S. tariffs will approach levels not seen since the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, which incited a global trade war and deepened the Great Depression,” said Scott Lincicome and Colin Grabow of the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank.'

I'm'a disagree with you here, Kevin. We, the people, run this country, and I believe the vast majority of us are neither stupid nor evil. It's time we remind the people who were elected to represent us (many of whom *are* stupid and evil) who's really in charge.

The core issue is that EVs fuel (and operate) differently from what consumers are used to (gas). OEMs are good at marketing their vehicles with features & benefits, not so good at educating customers about how to use a powertrain. But w/o that education, marketing falls flat.

Congrats Kevin! If only Soros had a line on genuine Nissan MAFs for the Juke…
