Since many of the people in the crowd are not wearing Maga hats, I am assuming that they are most likely family and friends of the Army soldiers who had to be there that day.

A reminder and a piece of hope that they can be beat.

So, Target caved, Amazon caved, Starbucks caved, but two companies whose business is in red states and "red" jobs stood their ground. Got it.

took years of peaceful protests. Lighting a Waymo car on fire has nothing to do with stopping ICE. No one equals those two things together. But look at Spokane. They didn't sit, but they did lock arms and protected. Their media at least had to explain why they were locking arms and blocking ICE

Lots people are saying sit. And it's not about whether I "approve" or disapprove. Optics matter whether you approve or disapprove. MLK understood this better than anyone. If any of the Greensboro 5 had gotten up and thrown food back, the whole thing would have been lost. And as it was, it still

to turn and face the Feds. And again, get some American Flags.🇺🇸 please!!!

protest. I know that the people organizing these protests are much better at this. But they seem to still forget the optics, the "theater" matters. What's the goal with the protests? Right now, it's to get ICE out of our cities. And, it might take working with local law enforcement 🧵

against them. We need to surround ICE buildings, not just be downtown. We need sit, holding Don't Tread On Me flags, and American flags. We also need volunteers who are willing and able to handcuff and zip tie the anarchists who keep destroying for the sake of it. They ruin every peaceful 🧵

People forget that MLK was smart, and understood this perfectly well. He knew that marching in Selma and Birmingham would create a spectacle. He needed the press and TV to see the high pressured hoses and the snarl and bites of the police dogs to be seen. He used their strength, the violence,🧵

She almost said yes

I'm glad he said it directly. She is lying.

We switched to You Tube TV years ago. Very frustrating that they don't have C-Span.

Either that, or they just let a "random" person inside the building and allowed them that close to a Federal government cabinet director. So..... setup... yes, I think so.

I love this show. Their series on the guys who lead Israel right after WW2 is the only reason why I have a small understanding of what's going on with Gaza right now.

I remember the change. It was drastic. No longer read them either.

This reminds me of that weird fox news guy who hung up all the "connections" to Soros from the ceiling, and had dolls. But this one is real.

Of course!

My sister and I were just talking about this same thing. I always thought your withholdings were deposited straight into a federal account, but maybe it goes through a state account first.

At least the PD are trying to support those detained. That's something.

He wants attention. Remember we are all at home with our own celebrations and protests. This is the day to ignore the temper tantrum on the floor.

Love that guy! Whoever he is.

Good hear some people are trying to stand up.

Rosa Parks was not the first, but she is the one that turned the tide. We keeping going, because when it matters, one is all we will need.

But the military is majority poor and minority. So fractured yes, but hopefully in two. Those with the country, and those with the 💩 bag.

Lucky that no one was planning on going anyway.

This was the Democratic party from my Grandfather's days. They had lived through the depression and many had seen fascism up close. They were smart, and put in some really good Amendments to the Constitution to prevent these kinds of takeovers happening in other states.

So, I have wondered this in general, can the organizers and those attending file a defamation lawsuit?
comment in response to post
The guy on the right is not there to protest, just to cause mayhem. I can't tell if I am more bothered by the reporter who chooses to focus on a select few, the 1%. Or if I am just as upset with the 1% distracting from the 99.

@realtexaspaul.com Tx needs to be ready. ICE is already here, but it will get worse in SA, Houston and Austin.

Optics matter. Pride in your heritage is important. However, right now, people need to be reminded that we are all Americans.

Can’t believe we’re back to this but: the National Military Lawyers Guild has already pledged support, and they can be contacted at [email protected] or 619-463-2369 nlgmltf.org/military-law...

I think it might be real. Someone posted just above you that they watched the live stream of the guy standing in the car, he posed with lots of people. The version on the right was, well, photoshopped for sure.

I hate that this is happening to you all. I know it will be us next.
