They aren't trying to scare you into submission, they're trying to goad you into fighting.

When y'all secede, please consider bringing OR and WA along

I'm sorry, but that's just a very juvenile and lazy position

The system is rigged against third parties seeking to just win one election at the top. Power is built from the bottom up. Take the majority in a few state congresses and elect some governors, then some house reps, and then maybe the left can launch a serious presidential bid.

I think the general consensus is as long as the check clears, all good 👍

25? You're forgetting the child labor initiative. That's how they plan to do all this without paying a living wage.

This behavior obviously leads to an untimely death.

Nothing about furiously rubbing old lamps?

Yes, but what did the head of lettuce have to say on the subject?

Just an alternative perspective... my wife is chemically sensitive (and I'm more sensitive lately too), commercial buildings are often toxic. When I was remote I got into the best shape of my life, eating healthier and exercising for just 5-10 min throughout the day. Also, way less stress.

I'm just spitballin' here, but I think the key is not more "people managers" but rather "program managers" to act as the glue, and you can do more with less in that type of role. Also, work remote but travel for focused in-person collaboration weeks (one per quarter).

TFW you only know how to be the opposition party but find yourself in charge

So are you saying the anti-science movement is unscientific? I'm shocked!

Call your senators, write to them, go to the town halls (if they have them and you're able). It's up to the sane people in red states to make those representatives as uncomfortable as possible for every minute that they're complicit. Only their constituents can do that, keep the pressure on.

I suspect something like 80% of global capitalism is just based on grifters exploiting marks.

There are just a lot of mediocre old white men out there that are deathly afraid of losing even a fraction of their unearned privilege and power.

TFW your chat bot tells you they want to see other people

There's no deals, just extortion and performative abuse for political points. You can't make deals with someone who can't be trusted.

That is just surreal. Beautiful photo.

Sounds like somebody came up with an unfeasible business model and should be fired.

Human-level intelligence is a pretty low bar from recent observations.

They mostly are performative, biggest benefit is buy-in from a sense of co-ownership through a shared experience. Many times I wind up building exactly what I would have without the WS, but I would've faced more challenges along the way with partners and stakeholders.

I don't think it's willful ignorance when the people saying it actually have been building and working with LLMs for 20+ years. Most of what I read is the hype is overreaching and the threats outweigh the benefits in the broad applications. Reductionist vibe posts don't help.

For me it was between her and Buttigieg. So disappointed in our country, we had options.

Love pulling from Private Ryan for Hanks, but personally I would have gone for the Bosom Buddies mix-in. Still a great concept, these are amazing!

Well as someone who hasn't earned any letters, I have great respect for those that have invested in their knowledge to that extent and I find it a very sad fact that respect isn't more widely distributed among our populace.

I actually get that, if you don't live in a place it's easy to be swayed by the media narrative you're plugged into and there are issues with herbicides, pesticides, soil depletion, growth hormones, malnutrition, etc. it just isn't the whole picture.

The US may have good food, but also no shortage of idiots 😂. Bumper crop
comment in response to post
I just wonder if some of the over-arching generalist claims are conflating different types of foods or taking statements out of context. Agree that we can easily find good quality meat and produce, but we also pay a premium and go to specialty local markets.

Well-adjusted normal people don't grow up to be diabolical masterminds. They have lives and such, and very little desire to control other people. It's just the losers that follow that trajectory.
comment in response to post
I can only speak anecdotally, but my wife has sensitivities to many of the additives, preservatives and such. Many of the processed and prepared foods in the US will cause some form of reaction. We've seen that dramatically reduced in both EU and SA.
