I too am disgusted by Starmer’s volte face over immigration. Like you I’ve had nothing but admiration for hard work and kindness of the immigrants that I’ve come in contact with directly.

This estate has long been a favourite of mine despite many architectural friends decrying it for being “muddled”. I love its combination of architectural and natural density, and the development of a rich privacy through “defensible space”. Its such a very liveable place

Very sad indeed. York University should be ashamed. Like many other Universities they want the prestige of being patrons without the responsibilities that go with it. A better option would be to sell it off and plan around it

Neither; Yalta was the division of the spoils of victory & We’re already past the appeasement of Munich. Its the equivalent of the molotov - ribbentrop non aggression pact between hitler and stalin in 39
