Omg gold, glad to know it's not just me that feels completely befuddled by it!

Oh that too. I feel like my brain is just completely spinning every time the same thing comes on. How many people were involved in making it and thought it fit together?
I guess it kind of worked though bc it's certainly piqued my interest (in the chaos though, not the company)

I have the same mental battle every day and I am lucky enough to be in another country...but as a history teacher, I can't seem to let myself look away.
I am sending every strength to you all.

Gosh that is bleak but also somehow less bleak than looking at any media outlet before bed so... Winning?

This makes me so sad, but I also wonder how much of it is connected to the numbers of adults these kids see reading for enjoyment. If the adults around them aren't joyful about books and readings, it tracks that kids would see it as a means to an end rather than an end in itself.

This is amazing!!! No embarrassment - only pride - you have done such an awesome job of something so detailed. I could never.

They hate that she's using her profile and influence to advocate for others without any actual benefit (and quite a bit of harm) to herself, so they attack it and try to find ways that actually she's doing it for herself. The vitriol directed towards her is completely absurd.

And the idea that the DfE thinks *teachers* should use generative AI which has been built using *stolen* copyrighted material to create images/text makes my blood boil. That's literally justifying theft to our children. We're meant to be trustworthy and honest!

I think about that book so often, and it has been ages since I read it. A truly gripping read
