I think a thing that bothers me is that when someone criticizes the trans movement for say not being willing to listen to opposing viewpoints I think it's important to be clear as to what those viewpoints are and what compromising on said viewpoints would entail.

People need to realize that the New York Times is going to pivot to "self-ID" now, essentially to build up the next fight, a total end of all legal recognition for transgender people. A handful of states have already started passing these laws, and it is absolutely what they are going for next.

What I learned today is that the @nytopinion.nytimes.com doesn’t believe in young people of color in leadership. Time and time again people tout “seniority” and “experience”. 75 years ago, there were no women of color elected in NY. Where is “seniority” or “experience” to come from for us?
