Damn stupid always-Women won't have children due to the risk. Already risky-especially in the US. Dead women can't have children in the future. The fetus still ends up dead. Families lose their loved one. Many women had life saving abortions & went on to have other children before the dark times.

On interview on NPR-the Mom said the argument was that the decision making was taken out of the families hands. I'm pretty sure she did not say what their decision would be. Against the family's wishes is the wish that they got to make decision for their child. It is a heart breaking situation.

The is dramatic when thinking of YLL(Years Life Lost). A less than 1yr olds death or possible impact thru life is a huge impact compared to a 65yo. YLL for those that don't know. www.who.int/data/gho/ind...

Why is excess mortality predicted to go down with time? Highly vulnerable picked off? It seems w/ time & multiple infections that it might level out-but going down? It seems it could even rise based on a highly virulent variant. Humans seem to be incubating a lot of diverse variants w/ time.

How do you think this applies to Covid? Do you think Covid is going to conform? Based on some virologist discussion, I thought it was packing waves closer. Many thing effect that though.

I think it's a factor of how contagious it is & the mutation rate & immunity lasting long. The variant changes enough in 6months that you end up with a large population vulnerable again. It's spread extremely well also. Lots of people have it, it mutates a lot & immunity is lost quickly.

It's so highly contagious with lots a variants circulating. It's waves come twice a year about. That about how long it takes for it to change enough so there are a bunch of vulnerable again w/ decrease immunity to the newly created variants. I don't see how that will change d/t human behavior.

I'm not sure why anyone that knows about what Covid does would stop masking. Any infection could highly disrupt your health. You won't know until it's too late. Mask indoors always. Illness at the level Covid can bring isn't worth it. I'm only take risk w/ friend and family that are very careful.

It's vascular--so that pretty much everywhere in the body is of concern.

Are there test available? It's very costly to test. I bet that's one of many reasons people don't & they will still have to go to work-they've given up. A worker coming to my house said he couldn't find a mask to buy. I have plenty, but he tried to find one. They aren't readily available.

How does organic rice avoid the problem? My understanding is that it is not something that being put on the rice when being grown. It would matter where it's grown-what's in the soil or in the water flooding the fields. I think organic can be as high as non-organic.

Why only reference death? Negative health outcome can be problematic & costly. We don't have the full picture yet on what those cost are after multiple infections. www.pennmedicine.org/news/news-re...

An untimely death could result in 100s or thousands of lives being saved if not more. Death rates are rising thanks to a few very problematic people.

incredibly, during covid, the washer shrunk all of my pants, including the ones I hadn't washed since before the lockdown

2020 during a surge I remember telling a hospital worker about CoVid toes. She'd had CoVid & was dealing with a lot of pain in her toes. I don't know if she got a diagnosis.

When I hear this, I think the psychiatrist needs to evaluate why they are reacting they are based on the evidence of what Covid does. Major denial issues. And it's sad that denial seems to be the norm at the time.

Neighbor has a relative that's having trouble getting medication to keep their body from rejection a kidney they've had for 15yrs. It's made in China & apparently getting it has become a problem. There was no thought or planning before shooting self in foot!
