It was blatantly obvious early 2021 that he was guilty. 4 years later and it all just went a way. Why should we expect him to ever be held responsible? Don't get me wrong, I dispute the man and I want him to pay. I just don't find a reason to believe he will.

Remember: that is where the Nazi regime ended—it is absolutely not where it began. It began with the undermining of the rule of law; with authoritarianism; with Gleichschaltung; with attacks on universities and knowledge; with smaller-scale persecution of vulnerable minorities etc.

Developmets in Germany, the US and UK, I must stress, are distinct from historical ones: there is no direct parallel with 1930s and suggesting so would be ahistorical! The point I am making is: there are common patterns and we have all the knowledge about them, but we are not using this knowledge.

Thank you. I did consider that after posting as I don't really have any idea what "the kids say" these days! Appreciate your input

OMG. I'm 65 and I know that's not what that means - I and I don't have kids or grandkids around! Time to find another network! 😂 Plz tell me it wasn't Scott

But you make a valid point regarding the two tiered system we "enjoy"

I have no idea how she's handling it. I know that I wouldn't be happy about it 8 had served time. But that's not really the topic here. I was just saying that simply being female doesn't mean you're a better fit for this!

Based on what we've seen since '16 is THEY WONT. The serious discussion is what are our alternatives? Do we wait & hope for better results next election (not likely as he has already placed himself in charge of elections)? It's a serious question, what do WE THE PEOPLE do now to correct course?

Great to hear! Hope it's repeated and I hope it's expanded! Thank you

I find it offensive that all other senators and representatives aren't joining him. If they support the rule of law they should be traveling down there. If not all at once then groups should go each week!
comment in response to post
I assumed that was just his way of going gay and getting young men to join him! It's fun to stay at the YMCA!
comment in response to post
I'd suggest any and all members who care about the rule of law join him. If it becomes a weekly thing so be it!

Oh great! The one way we could easily have China pay off our debt (when THEY pay the tariffs) he balks in! Not to mention all of the high tech, high wage jobs lost for us hard working Americans! Someone should tell him he's making a huge mistake!
comment in response to post
he actually does know how tariffs work and someone actually got thru to him on the insanity of this idea! Could it be our great Orange Leader has been misleading us regarding tariffs and how they work? Nah. That's crazy talk! 🤪

Nope. My advice to friends overseas has been that they should do everything they can to forego the USA. Trump thinks himself the most powerful man in the world. Cutting deals with him reinforces that! What until the next president is in them negotiate!

Ty. And a part of having a forum like this is that we can discuss things and those with greater skills (such as research) can respond more quickly with reliable info. I never meant to offend you or anyone else!

Thank you. I greatly appreciate your insight and response.

I'm guessing you came here from Twitter, grew tired of all the MAGAts on there! Many of us left for the same reason. I am sorry for whatever you've been through and if I have miscommunicated I apologize for that too. I'm not here to pick fights or argue. But healthy discussions benefit all of us.

Asking questions? I readily admit that. If you have actual evidence to offer please share. There are lots of us who would like to know!

According to the article there were about 15,000 close proximity cases between 2022band 2024. If those numbers are accurate then things don't seem to be as bad, air traffic-wise, than what we're being led to believe!

According to the article there were about 15,000 incidents of close proxemity from 2021 to 2024. That would suggest that what we're seeing now is simply because it's being reported more, not because it's happening more
comment in response to post
Ok, how so? I'm referring to the general lack of research and context that MAGA demonstrates daily. If there's detail left it seems like we're doing what they do. Or do I misunderstand "no"?
comment in response to post
Thk you Brian for bringing this to our attention. Does anyone know how this compares historically? Don't misunderstand me, this is of concern, but if it's also fairly routine then aren't we guilty of the same thing we accuse MAGA of?

If the goal of the cr was further this admins determination to shut down most fed departs, why didn't the Rs simply go all out with their cr to assure no Ds would vote for it?

Doesn't Utah generally vote Republican anyway?
