Stupid brain. It's telling me that I'm a fat lazy slob that can't do anything right, and is reminding me of past failures and mistakes rapid-fire. Telling me I'll never be who I want to be or accomplish what I want to achieve, and I may as well give up now.

Despite my best efforts, I was not able to attend our local No Kings protest. But for all who can, stay safe, stay peaceful (but mad), and stay hydrated!

Woo hoo! πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

Non-gamers don't understand: Demon slaying is relaxing for us. Shooting zombies in the face is cathartic. Flinging fireballs at a dragon is fun. Sneaking through a warehouse unseen is exciting. And we need more than 30 minutes a day for it. That's barely enough time to get started!

I just reread Ray Bradbury's "The Pedestrian" and came across @thepedestrian.bsky.social. Seems to be a *slight* difference in tone between them...

I can't literally stand with the folks in LA right now, I'm thousands of miles away. Same for San Diego and San Francisco. I'm hundreds of miles from Houston and San Antonio. I'm sure there are protests elsewhere. Know that I'm with youβ€”all of youβ€”in spirit, even if I can't be there in person.

After a dozen trips to see family (same place, same amount of time, etc.), one might assume we'd get the hang of packing for the trip. Nope! Still takes a couple of hours longer than expected. I mean, I'm done, but my wife... πŸ˜‹ Love her anyway, though!

a friend of mine shared this ai-generated "emotion wheel" and unfortunately i have been laughing my ass off at it for like 15 minutes now. today i am feeling Fnliinneon

Those living without chronic pain: 1) I'm jealous 2) It's not a question of *if* I hurt, but where and how much right *now* 3) Because my most acute pain was in one location yesterday (or even an hour ago), don't assume that's still the case.

Feels so good when people use my preferred pronouns!

Guy on the other side of the cubicle is talking confidently about Atlantean society and culture, and "what they thought" about various subjects.
