Watching AI boosters trying to ::defend:: builder.ai is wild.

One measure of "Good Code" is that it can be easily deleted.

It's not every day I get to explain Liskov substitution principle.

Still waiting on an explanation of "agentic" that features a currently existing product and not a pie-in-the-sky, "someday" promise.

No CEO ever told me I _had_ to learn vi or else.

If AI is so great, why do executives feel the need to cheerlead and proselytize to their employees about it?

"I'm not against AI, I'm against how you plan to use it."

"vibe coding" feels a lot like Rails generators - a neat party trick, and certainly impressive to people who have minimal coding experience, but aren't terribly practical for the majority of day-to-day engineering tasks.

"Agentic" is the new "blockchain"

I'm sure it's worth it, though.

Really looking forward to moving to the state of Santa Barbara! Prompt: "Where in the United States is coffee grown?"

Through some cruel trick of fate, I actually _volunteered_ to be the VP of my building's HOA. I'm now halfway through my 2-year term of office, and let me tell you, my platform of "let's not ruin people's day" is a winning formula.

Once you’re allowed to declare that a minority is inherently dishonest & dishonorable you can simply remove them from everything. Bondable employment? Not for liars! Entering contracts? Not for the dishonorable! Medication? They’ll lie about their symptoms! Loans or bank accounts? They’re cheats!

Utor eo quod utile est.

If it is obviously good, you don't have to mandate it.

If AI is so great, show me the company that is using it for their accounting.
