I actually think about this almost everyday past week or so. I just might start doing something similar. Thanks for the inspiration, I was.. skeptical.

I looked up code signing here and can totally resonate with this. Don't look forward to doing it later this year for windows.

Would you like apply this to.. every kind of plugin or is there a specific area where you feel it would be cool?

Just did this today.

Today I was able to disable all of the workspace Gemini stuff. How? By contacting Google support via chat and asking for this hidden menu option... And figured this out by reading a reddit post 😑

As a rule: not a single line of code until it's not laid out in theory on paper.

Grabbed a pen and a dotted notebook, wrote down the cornerstones of the feature and actually I was able to stay on track. I let a bit of randomness in the planning process, certain decision points left open helped to keep the flow fresh.

I did not really believed the "bad stories", often shared about Revolut / Wise, etc. But it happened to our company as well. I don't mind if they decide that our business is not a right fit for them. But give a reason, point to the TOS or whatever and 60 days to move funds. Be transparent.

credit score, and prime minister got even closer with Russia and China... Anyways we had to move our money and after a long month of evaluation, picked the Swiss fintech Amnis Treasury. Their support and services have been great so far - even on flagged transactions sent to Chinese mfg partners.

in the end with Wise, with no way of figuring out the true reason. This hurt our business as the back and forth went over ~2 month, while I believed the "issue" could be resolved. This happened around the outbreak of the Russian - Ukranian war and while financial insitutes marked Hungary with poor

It's awesome, until the fintech provider flags your account due to political or other financial risk assessment reason. Received and transferred thousands of dollars/euros with a clean track record of promptly providing all business documents on request. Still got account freeze and deletion...

I KNEW IT AND WHOLE COMPANY HATES IT.
The funny thing is that I like Gemini when I used it separately to experiment, work with ai tools. But the way Google enforces it everyday in workspace makes my blood boil.

This sounds epic. Do you plan to make it publicly available or even release it behind a pay wall? As we started to use vendure and build on this very stack our own team could benefit from it as well. And I like your teaching style!

I'm porting soon this app to newer version of sveltekit, will keep an eye out if such dev-prod inconsistency is in place and make a repro / issue then if it's still the case.

I don't really think it's on sveltekit or adapter-node, this troubleshooting was on me and my inexperience with the adapter settings. Sure vite dev mode could emulate directly the node adapter when configured and throw errors even in dev, but I'm sure there is a reason it works the way it is.

The issue popped up on the prod environment after deployment - we did not have any "direct" file upload handling thorugh sveltekit backend, so this was something new.
As the response returned on the site with 413, I suspected nginx as that is the main difference from local development.

It was on kit 1.30 and adapter-node 1.3.1, so rather an old version. While running the app in development mode, although node adapter is configured instead of auto, there is no such file size check in place, no error message was shown. Only saw the error after build and preview.

I think this is nice, because it's easier to mop/vacumm/clean up if less things touch the ground .. Maybe it could be a bit higher up (have smaller legs)

They have a very accessible licensing model with free major updates - at least thats how they pop to my mind. Good for them, good for you

To my inter-roboto overloaded eyes the font feels compressed vertically. Still, it has a cool personal vibe, nice touch

I think it's okay to find joy in discomfort. Embrace it and find a way to avoid it next time. Without the negatives it's harder to realize the positives.

You do you, it's an interesting approach and I'm happy if it brings joy to you! Thanks for the insight that the tasks are rather simple, I will think about this if I should bring this to my own well being journey 🛶

Aren't you afraid of impostor syndrome? Maybe not the correct word, but to me self evaluation through 30points seems over the top and subconsciously I would try to make my ticks.. Tick?

Separation of concerns can kick in freely - use mobile for talks (and bluesky :P), do work on desktop.

This came just right on time to revisit my mailing setup. I mostly have the correct labeling/filtering in place but the methods to label something as "pending", "later" and so on is nice for not-yet-categorized, but important(ish) mails. Bummer it mostly helps on desktop tho.

And now after two days of messing around (not really because of coolify), POC of our new commerce backend built with vendure is up on a VPS + Coolify instance.
Thanks for doing your thing!

Isn't mailgun for transactional emails though? For a newsletter I would be afraid to use that. But you probably have high open rates and low spam scores 🤔

That's a cool looking personal site. I think it throws it a bit off that's both "design" and "on board" cards just need a tiiiny more space to make them fully readable. Screen res is iphone 15 pro if it helps any.
