Mixing pop and politics they ask me what the use is…. But I’m gonna tweet shit about them anyway and probably #LFC too

That in itself is anachronistic now surely. I’ve got an engineering background and work in what Dan would call an email job. It’s definitely not female dominated.

Yep there is a tight legal definition that includes the action being intended to advance an ideological cause.

The absolute definition of a double A side that.

When did we last win the league on the last day?

Quite literally these games don’t matter. They’re not going to take the league off us. They’re not going to award us another one. This is pre season.

When the job is done you’re entitled to down your tools and head to the pub.
The job was done 4 weeks ago

You not enjoyed the title then?

Exactly. And there’s enough there going forward to be really encouraging.
Then again there’s folks who lose it over pre-season games. Which s effectively how Slot is using these.

Was asking myself the same thing. And I can’t remember either.

Yep. I find setlist.fm really useful. They give the start times as time after doors as well so you can adjust from venue to venue.

There are reasons they want you in earlier. The venue wants your ale money and the act, if they’re a nice bunch, would probably like you to see the support(s)

In a season without PSG they’d be in the final. And that is what matters.

I’ve read it. It’s gibberish. He’s essentially saying if we are allowed to remove the best team then we’d have won two Premier Leagues. The point is not how many points Arsenal would need and LFC were on target for 92 when they won it. That’s the total he should be looking at.
comment in response to
post
That’s not what Arteta is saying. He’s saying that Arsenal’s totals from the last two seasons 89 and 84 points would have won it this season as Liverpool have only got 82. That’s just nonsense.
comment in response to

The assumption that Arsenal would have won it with the last two seasons points tallies is the nonsense. Nobody is arguing about the variability of the league (aka Arsenal’s own underachievement this season).

Me too. Glad it is now a thing.

Yeah. Cos we never talk about Keegan, Souness, McManaman, Torres or Suarez.

That’s stats for you. The story is the opposite to what it suggest. It’s why we’re third in that list too. The number of set piece goals conceded per team is fairly constant for most sides. If you don’t concede many goals overall then that results in a higher percentage of set pieces conceded.

Based on all the pundits pre-season predictions where none had Liverpool top two, very few had them top 3 and quite a few had them outside the top 4. On that basis I think LFC are a darkish horse.

Your problem there is Twitter not our fanbase.

The FT piece had this paired with another graph showing the numbers in each group and the incoming demographic challenge. This graph is the less interesting part of the story.

We need to stand up on our own and that means closer ties with Europe and higher taxes, which sadly will need to be used to build an independent armed forces. May as well ditch Trident now as well.

Agreed. And neither are as bad as Steve Sidwell a man so average I’ve forgotten what it might be in his “career” that has caused his hilarious prediction. All I know is he looks a fine candidate to be the next Man Utd manager.

So. If you spent the week hate tweeting and attempting to undermine democracy in Germany does that mean you keep your job or get the boot.

Celebrated a good day of footy with a cracking ribeye at Hawksmoor, Malbec and a beer at home while waiting for MotD. That duck ragu looks amazing though
