And no. Not everything in America is under surveillance. We have regulations. American companies have to comply with US laws. Tech corps can't give anyone else access to your data. And the USGov can't access the data without a warrant. These are objectively good things that China does not have.

Absolutely not. This ban began in 2020, as a direct result of reports from the IC and DoD that it was being used to spy on Americans. Meta did not want it banned, because they're already facing an anti trust lawsuit. The idea that it has anything to do with Meta is CCP propaganda.
